Saturday 5th September 2026

Today, we welcome Long Sutton Hockey Club to the Wong with both our Mens and Ladies sections in action against them 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Our new ladies 1 captain, Wilkinson, leads the team out for the first time in what we hope to be a successful first season in charge!

13:00 – Mens
Our mens 1 captain, Seymour, has a full squad as he looks to finalise his team ahead of the start of the season next week

|| Lincolnshire Wolds Summer League ☀️🏑

The 2026 Lincolnshire Wolds Summer League has officially come to a close, and what a summer of hockey it has been! The ongoing drought, temperatures above 30°C, and some other sporting event called the FIFA World Cup; nothing could deter you from turning up week-in-week-out and playing with such enthusiasm, passion and good spirit 💪🏼

A huge thank you to every single person who stepped out onto the pitch this summer - whether that was to play, umpire, or just show your support. Your effort, energy, and sportsmanship have made this year's summer league a complete success 👏🏼

And of course, congratulations to the incredible Hotshots - not only winning the league but doing it with eight wins from eight 🔥

Thank you again to everyone involved. Good luck with the upcoming season with YNE Hockey League; we can't wait to see you all again next summer 💛

Preparation for the start of the YNE Hockey League 2026/27 season is already underway, and with 3 new captains, a lot has been going on behind the scenes to get everything up to our self-imposed high standards.

Club stalwart, Dave, remains at the helm of the Mens 1 whilst the Ladies 1, Mens 2, and Ladies 2 all welcome new victi.... heroes to don the captains' armband 💪🏼

A wonderful end of season presentation was held last week for our Junior section. 💛🖤

Our juniors have had such a fantastic season, with some great training sessions and superb results in the Lincs Junior Friendly Hockey League.

Our President George Steadman was on hand with Lead Coach Jason to present the children with their end of season awards.

Huge thanks as always go to Jason, Ben, all the coaches and all our other local Clubs and their junior sections for a wonderful 2025-2026 season.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our teammate and friend, Sue Gauntlett.

Sue was an important part of our Club and will be remembered for her kindness, humour, dedication, and the positive impact she had on everyone around her. Her passion for hockey and support for those around her will never be forgotten.

Sue was the kind of teammate everyone hoped to have, and her absence will be felt deeply by all of us. The memories we shared on and off the pitch will stay with us forever.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Sue’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Sue. You will always be part of our team and in our hearts. 💛🖤
