Due to the amazing response from our last post we have a full 11 for our 2nd XI tomorrow! A huge thank you to Alford & District Cricket Club for the loan of two of their players!

Our attention now turns to Sunday where we have an away match against Rustons (match played at Nocton CC) and again we are short by 3 players! Not a good week for availability 😢
If anyone fancies a Sunday of cricket then please do get in touch we really would appreciate it!

Does anyone fancy a game of cricket tomorrow?!

Unfortunately we are 3 players short for our 2nd XI match at home tomorrow (Saturday 20th) and we are wondering if there is anyone out there who fancies a game to help out? No previous cricket experience neccessary, just a willing to have a go!

It's a home game in Horncastle starting at 12:30pm, if anyone is at all interested please comment below or message the page.

Our U16s team, with help from some of our U14s and U12s, played Skegness earlier in the week. We are really keen to grow our older junior teams, so any year 8,9,10 or 11s that would like to join, please message us for more information.

ALL STARS WEEK 3!

Wow what a night tonight for week 3 of All Stars! Some fantastic batting, bowling and fielding on display tonight and lots of fun had too! The improvement the kids are making just three weeks in is incredible, keep up the good work All Stars! Huge congratulations to our Stars of the Week! Also a huge thank you to Iain and Joanne for stepping in to help with the coaching! Real team effort! 🏏⭐️❤️

Defeats but no disgrace for both Saturday sides at the weekend with the 1st XI going down by 90 runs at league leaders Appleby Froddingham 2nd XI and our 2nds being handed a 61 run defeat by Bracebridge Heath 3rd XI.
The 1s managed to bowl their hosts out for 213 with Finn Fisher (Agri weld solutions ) picking up excellent figures of 3-33 from his 9 overs. George Brewster (Francs Brunch & Burgers), Richard Hickling (Allotment Cooks) & Tom Hackett (Harpars Bar) all claimed 2 wickets a piece with skipper Fraser Pemberton (The King's Treasure ) picking up 1.
The reply started well with Hackett and Nelson putting on 55 for the first wicket before the latter was run out. That unfortunately started a collapse with us going from 55-0, losing 8 wickets for just 32 runs to be 87-8. Only opener Tom Hackett (32) and then Fraser Pemberton (52) put up any resistance and we were bowled out for 123.
The 2s like the 1s won the toss and elected to bowl and also bowled out their opposition, this time for 178. The damage was done by Sudharsen Selvaraj with 4 wickets and Micheal Ackerman (TJ Cricket - UK) with 3. Chantry picked up 2 wickets with Kai Stephenson the remaining 1. A special mention must go to young Bracebridge batter Cavill who kept our bowlers at bay with an excellent 72.
Unfortunately our reply offered little resistance and we were bowled out for 117. Ackerman top scored with 30 with Rubel Iqbal adding 20.
So defeats for both Saturday sides but with plenty of positives to take from both performances. We go again this weekend with fixtures for all three senior sides! Huge thank you to our fantastic club sponsors!

Just two games this weekend with the Saturday 1s facing a tough away day to table topping Appleby Frodingham 2nd XI and the 2s facing Bracebridge Heath 3rd XI at home.
