Subject: Disability Bowls England Charity Challenge

To DBE Member Clubs
We hope all our member clubs are safe, well and coping well with the continued isolation. It is a difficult time for everyone and we look forward to getting back on then greens.

We have decided to take part in the big charity where members are asked to take up a challenge and ask friends, bowls team mates etc.. to sponsor by donating to the "Giving" page that has been set up.
The challenges will take place on 26th April, so not much time.

May we ask that one of your committee take up a challenge on behalf of DBE and ask your club members to support by donating using the link that can be found on the DBE web site or page.

We would like to put up a list of people taking the challenge,showing what they are doing and a photo after the challenge would be great.

If anyone would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers for Wilf Walmsley’s funeral, cheques can be sent to Michael H Sivill, Funeral Directors in Leagate Rd, Coningsby, LN4 4RS but please remember to add that it is for Wilf Walmsley. These will be passed on to Margaret and shared between Stickney Bowls Club and Cat’s Protection.
Alternatively the donations can be posted to Margaret.
The funeral is on Tuesday at 11.30am at Boston Crematorium.

Sadly no guard of honour is allowed at Boston Crem for Wilf’s funeral. Only 10 allowed inside and strictly only close family.

Could we hold a wake at the bowls club in memory of everyone who died during this lockdown? When everything is back to normal, eg September?

As many of you will already know, Wilf Walmsley has sadly died. His funeral will be held at Boston Crematorium on Tuesday 21 April at 11.30am, leaving Margaret’s home at Gypsie Bridge at 11am. Unless circumstances alter between now and then, only 10 people are allowed to attend. There will be very few family members present so if anyone feels they would like to attend, please contact Jayne Taplin or Margaret direct. Friends welcome. Does anyone think we could do a socially distant guard of honour outside as he approaches?
