07.04.24 saw Horncastle Town U11s travel to Louth Football Club U11 Reds in a fixture for the Mid Lincs U11 B League.

On a blustery Sunday lunchtime kick off, Louth was able to use the wind to their advantage. Unfortunately Horncastle didn't have the same luck.

A big thank you has to go to the players who were asked to play in unusual positions to normal due to other players being on holidays, especially Dominic who made the appearance of goalkeeper.

On the 17.03.2024, Horncastle Town U11s travelled to Louth Football Club U11 Reds in the U11 League Trophy Group 3.
After a few days of rain, this pitch provided a muddy game, see the last picture of our goal keeper Toby with fellow player Dominic (you know these two have had a good game when they come off dirty).
Half time the score was evens and could have gone either way but come the second half, Louth found another gear and Horncastle just couldn't find that gear.
Great game overall.

03.03.2024 saw the U11s travel to Wyberton FC U11s to play the quarter-final of the U11 Mid Lincs Allen Signs Cup.

This was definitely a game of two halves for the Horncastle U11s. First half the team didn't get out of the traps and by half-time had given themselves some really hard work for the second half. However in the first half, Horncastle goalkeeper Toby made a great penalty save after a penalty was awarded to Wyberton within the first few minutes of the match.
After a few stern words at half-time, the players returned to field of player looking more like the U11s we know and gave such a better performance the second half scoreline was a more realistic picture of the true Horncastle side.

Unfortunately, in the game there was no goals for Horncastle.

On 25.02.2024 the U11s travelled to our neighbours Woodhall Spa United Football Club U11s in the U11 League Trophy Group stages.

After a few days of rain, the sun decided to shine and gave for a great game of football. The pitch was in great shape and made playing so much better.

Both teams had shots which went wide, over and even hitting the post numerous times. That didn't stop a game which was end to end action and played in great spirit.

I would like to thank Will and his team for a great game.
