Another race meeting done at the field and one of the first this season with minimal dust!

The rain helped a lot but we were still watering at 9 o clock this morning! Track conditions were great to start but quickly became tough with some big ruts in the inside line. But drivers persevered and all in all had a great day!

Fantastic turn out for the back to basic banger teams with some real fun racing across all the groups and massive well done to Team Fresh for becoming the first ever back to basic team champions!

Thanks to our team for pulling together today covering multiple job roles and helping run the day from dawn till dusk! Couldn’t do it without you all !

Only two meetings left now ! See you all in three weeks time for our annual Banger World Dirt Final on September 20th!

🚨 CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS UPDATE… AKA EXCEL HAS LOST THE PLOT 🚨😂

If you’ve looked at the championship points recently and thought…

“Hang on, that’s not my name?”
“Since when did I race that number?”
“How the hell am I leading the championship?!” 🤣

…you’re not going mad. The spreadsheet is. 🫠

Apparently after 5 meetings, hundreds of results and far too many formulas, Excel decided it was bored of doing actual maths and fancied a game of Driver Name & Number Roulette instead. 🎰🏁

Race numbers belonged to one person, names belonged to another, points were off doing their own thing…

We think we’ve now persuaded the spreadsheet to stop making up its own championship and return to using the actual results. 🤞🤣

So, apologies to anyone who briefly thought they’d become a championship contender overnight… please hand the imaginary trophy back. 🏆😂

And to anyone who suddenly dropped 10 places — DON’T PANIC. We’re checking everything and making sure the points, names and race numbers are all where they should be!

Turns out running a race track is easy…

It’s Excel that’ll finish us off. 😂🏁💻
