Horley Cricket Club We are a family friendly cricket club founded in 1792. We have 3 competitive men's Saturday teams and social cricket on Sundays.

Our growing women's section includes both competitive and friendly games, plus we have a large junior section for all ages.🏏

2’s CHAMPIONS. Chris Webber lead a dominant season where our 2nd XI won the league with 2 games to spare! Huge contributions all round in a season where everyone had their say. Notable contributor with the bat was of course who finished up as the league top run scorer and new recruit Ollie Hølman who starred with the ball. Well deserved all round. I’m sure everyone will agree Chris’ shoey needs some work… hopefully plenty of practice for next year skip! Would tag more but there was a limit!

It is that same time at the end of the season where we have to say goodbye to Chandra Pratap Singh .

It has been another incredible season for him with the bat. Topping the league run charts comfortably and even being the highest scorer in the whole of the Surrey Championship at the time he flew home.

1091 runs averaging 83.92 with 6 50’s and 4 100’s really is special.

His stats for the last 3 years at Horley are quite something 2642 runs averaging 55.04 with 15 50’s and 7 hundreds.

We were lucky enough to capture 4 of his centuries on camera and the rest will just be for the people lucky enough to be there to see it in person.

I’m sure everyone at the HCC will tell you his contributions on the field were only a small part of what has brought to the club. He always got involved with anything going on and has been a great role model to all the juniors rising through the ranks.

Cricket Week!
A week ago we had a week full of fantastic fixtures. From Tuesday to Thursday there were some high scoring well contested day games from our friends at Banstead Cricket Club and Emeriti Cricket Club . None of this would have happened without organisation. His second year organising and the weather behaved this year! Of course most of the praise needs to go to Mrs Davies for teas so good everyone has already asked about next year’s menu!
On Friday our strollers took on The Knights XI and in the evening Gubby’s Super Giants contested Trevs Evergreens in an occasion which saw plenty of returning players take the field. Gubbys side came out victorious although the result was very much a side show. Rumours there was plenty of conversations in the bar after on whose era was the strongest. A week which showcased everything that is great about our club and how much it has grown over the last 10 years.

Horley U10’s into the next round of the T2 Cup with a cracking win over Merstham, in very hot conditions.

Horley had a nervy start leaving us 32-4 but Max Moran & Cody Woodward steadied the ship with some brilliant batting and immense running- a staggering partnership of 113 carried us through to set a target of 146.

In the field Merstham got off to a strong start but were pinned back by some excellent run outs from Cody and accurate bowling from the team on a very slow pitch. Eventually Merstham struggled to get the ball off the square - with some regular wickets taken Horley took the win by 54 runs. 🙌👏
