Today I went along to Parents vs Kids rugby…

Honestly? Not really my thing. 😂 But she needed a volunteer and I’m always up for trying something new.

And do you know what? It was actually SO much fun.

Well… the part where I was actually on the pitch anyway! There were plenty of laughs, lots of moving and a reminder that sometimes the things we think aren’t “for us” end up surprising us the most.

How often do we talk ourselves out of trying something new because we don’t think we’ll enjoy it?

So tell me… have you tried something new recently and absolutely loved it?

This week I had the honour of speaking at Elevate Arena about the work I do in exercise for new mums.

Yep, that’s me on the panel.

Talking about women’s health, postpartum recovery and why movement should support women through every stage of motherhood.

And I’d just like to take a moment to acknowledge my greatest achievement of the day…

I made it through the entire talk without dropping a swear word or telling one of my questionable stories. 😂

Frankly, that deserves its own standing ovation.

It was an absolute privilege to be invited to speak alongside some of the biggest names in fitness and share a topic I’m incredibly passionate about.

Look… I know this looks like I’ve completely lost the plot.

And yes, sometimes my teaching ideas arrive from a part of my brain that should probably be supervised.

BUT…

This weird little trick was actually brilliant for finding spinal alignment, getting the right muscles switched on and making sure we’re moving efficiently instead of just flinging our limbs around and hoping for the best.

Ok, ok… sometimes my ideas are a little random and definitely outside the box 😂

BUT this one worked.

Finding proper spinal alignment isn’t just about looking good in an exercise, it’s about helping your body move efficiently, engage the right muscles and stop compensating with the wrong ones.

Because exercise isn’t about just doing the movement… it’s about doing it well.
