š§ Why More Isnāt Always Best When Training
In the world of exercise, itās easy to fall into the trap of thinking that more volume, more workouts, more intensity = better results. But hereās the truth: more isnāt always betterābetter is better.
š The Overtraining Trap
When we chase volume instead of smart programming, we increase the risk of overtraining, injury, and burnout. Your body needs time to recover and adapt. Without rest, youāre not building strengthāyouāre breaking it down.
āļø Quality Over Quantity
One well-executed WOD with proper intensity, solid mechanics, and focus beats three rushed sessions with sloppy form. More reps donāt equal better fitnessāmore intention does.
šÆ Know Your Goals
Are you training to compete? Stay healthy? Be a better parent, athlete, human? Your goals should dictate your volume, not your ego.
š” Train Smart, Not Just Hard
Respect the programming created by the coaches. Listen to your coach. Listen to your body. Progress isnāt about doing everythingāitās about doing the right things consistently.
š§ Word From The Coach
Sometimes our sessions will only include an 8-10 minute workout and we perform skill work around this, sometimes they only include strength work with some accessories, sometimes they will include a 35 minute+ workout.
The thing is, you cannot do it all everyday. Although we do often see people try.
Full time athletes can be seen doing multiple sessions a day and even they can burn out and often require close psychological monitoring.
We understand you absolutely love training and we love you coming to our box to train, and if thereās a day where you can train multiple times then go ahead and crack on, but maybe take a day off the next day or two to recover.
Our sessions are designed around our core beliefs āExercise to energise, not paralyseā
