Adventure races in beautiful locations with leading standards of safety and support for beginners & seasoned swimrunners. At all our events you’ll run the trails in your wetsuit and swim your trainers, we’ll provide safety cover and athlete support with water safety te

ams and checkpoints offering hydration and nutrition. We have multiple distance options for everyone at each event, from beginners to those looking to qualify for ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship on the longest Swimrun course in mainland UK. Swimrun Bewl takes place at Bewl Water, the largest reservoir in South England and part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Swimrun Gower is our linear coastal race along the Gower Peninsula, just west of Swansea, in the UK's very first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Swimrun Coniston, set in the beautiful Lake District National Park, Swimrun Coniston is a linear Adventure Race finishing in Grasmere and depending on the chosen distance, starting at Coniston Water or Windermere. Whichever course you choose you’ll access an amazing adventure that’s just not safely accessible on your own, and finish with a medal and sense of pride that will last you a lifetime.

Just a week to go now until the first Gritty Rascals' version of Swimrun Bewl.

As of this Saturday lunch time, there is only one Women's Team on the Gritty course, and 2 Men's teams - so great opportunities to get on the podium, score a bunch of British Swimrun team ranking points and win some great prizes on offer from PANDA Optics, Fenland Runner and Precision Fuel & Hydration.

There's still a few days to go until entries close, but not much time left if you want to order a finisher's shirt, so hurry if you want one as they are made to order.

If you're not ready to enter but want to see what its all about, we're still looking for some more marshals too - please get in touch if you can help - we offer race credits or donations to good causes like charities or sports clubs, along with a packed lunch and everything you need on the day. It's a great way to get to know what its all about and most of our marshals tell us what a fabulous day in their feedback.

Most of the marshal roles involve being nice to people on the course, comms with the race director and manning a the flag at the swim entry / exits - in the beautiful country side.

Swimrun Gower is nearly here - with just 3 weeks to go, prices increase to Last Minute pricing on Monday - so don't miss out on the current rates.

If you've been wondering about entering then 2026 is set to be even better than last year - entries are up over 50% on last year, we have athletes from North America and across Europe, including Otillo World Champions from 2025 and 2024.

You don't need to be an elite athlete though - there's distances for everyone along with all the water safety, medical cover and on course nutrition and hydration you need. You can swim run / jog / walk as suits you and we have many entrants that come and try as their first Swimrun.

Oh... and have you heard how beautiful it is?

We've been out on the course for checks and assessing the trails and swims. Bewl Water is a wonderful location for one of three race distances on offer.

Gritty Rascals Turns 3! 🎉🎉🎉

It's 3 years since we decided to resurrect some of the iconic Breca Swimrun events.

Since then we’ve:
• Brought back Swimrun Coniston & Gower
• Earned two ÖtillÖ Swimrun Merit Races
• Added shorter distances to make them more accessible
• Attracted racers from across the world
• And in 2026, we’re adding Bewl thanks to our friends As Keen as Mustard Events

Growing entries mean we’re set to become the UK’s largest Swimrun organiser this year and we’ll soon be sharing new resources for the whole community.

Huge thanks to everyone who's raced, supported, marshalled, partnered with us, kept athletes safe, captured the moments, hosted us, or shared advice along the way and of course to our team and families. You’ve all helped build something special.

New Year, New Adventure

Stuck in the ‘Crimbo-Limbo’ gap? 🧀🍷 We know the feeling. The cheese board is looking thin and we are certainly not! The sofa is feeling a little too comfortable, the trainers a little too clean!

But don't despair! It’s time to look forward to the grit, the transitions, and the trails of 2026. Whether it’s the limestone cliffs of Gower, the technical trails of Coniston, or the rolling hills of Bewl, your next big challenge is waiting.

We've gathered a few images form 2025 showcasing what is on offer. I wonder if you can tell the location of each photo. Two will be guesses, but the rest...memories imprinted on the rascals who took part.
