On the eve of More Sparks - It's An Old Skool Smash Up, it is very much worth noting that the origins of the meeting centred on the late Jon Sparks, who raced across four decades, most notably at Newton Abbot before the track's closure in 1994, and Smeatharpe. This year's More Sparks fixture will be held at Smeatharpe Stadium on Saturday 5 September.

Having already secured BriSCA F2 Stock Car feature final wins at the Mendips Raceway (2 August) and at the United Downs Raceway (16 August), Nathan Maidment has been enjoying a fine run of form. 🔟 years ago, Steven Gilbert won the Roy Goodman Trophy for BriSCA F2 Stock Cars . The fabulous trophy will be raced for on Bank Holiday Monday 31 August at Smeatharpe Stadium when Roy, who opened the circuit in April 1974, aims to be on hand to oversee presentations.
