When the Club was founded on 9 November 1881 it marked the birth of the game of golf in Ireland and in 1891 the Club became one of only nine founder member clubs of the Golfing Union of Ireland. Royal Belfast, established in 1881, is one of only five clubs in Ireland with Royal status. We have the most beautiful clubhouses on the island (we may be biased!) and our 18-hole parkland course was designed by world-famous golf course architect Harry C**t. Royal Belfast Captain, Malcolm Ditty, was privileged to take part in the Royal Dublin GC's famous "Pigs Cheek" Event last Friday.
The experience was made all the more special for him with a hole in one at the 9th!!

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at The Royal Belfast Golf Club.

This is a part-time position 7.00am – 11.00am working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends on a rota basis.

Salary: £12.71 per hour (Age 21+)

Key Responsibilities:
General cleaning of clubhouse areas
Maintaining high hygiene standards
Supporting a welcoming environment for members and guests

Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred
Attention to detail and good time management
Ability to work independently

Today is the second session of our Elevate Programme, run by our own lady members and designed to take our ladies golf to the next level!

they are aiming for team selection, working toward a personal handicap goal, or want to play with more confidence and consistency, the Elevate Programme helps from managing first-tee nerves to mastering the mental approach to matchplay.

Julie Carr gave a fun informative talk to lady members last Saturday afternoon on awareness and acceptance on the golf course. We were delighted to see so many of our new members attending and hopefully learning!

The Husqvarna Ceora 546 EPOS robot mower arrived at Royal Belfast in December 2025 and already has had a big impact on course presentation through the challenging winter months.

Ceora, re-named "Big Rory" is cutting 7 fairways and some rough on the top end of the course. The robot is able to mow areas of the course that heavy machinery cannot during spells of wet weather without leaving large wheels tracks.

During the summer months Rory will be able to mow areas in the rough which reduces man hours and fuel usage on a daily basis freeing up our green staff for other important tasks.
