Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club Host to many great events throughout the year - on and off the water. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome to visiting sailors, members and their guests.

The Club has attractive premises in Cultra, the buildings have been extended and adapted over the years to provide the facilities required for all the Clubs activities. For those unfamiliar with the Club house, we are situated on the shores of Belfast Lough in Cultra, a pleasant scenic walk from the town of Holywood. Whether it is a drink in our bar, or a meal in our dining room or any one of our function rooms, we are confident that you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and splendid views over Belfast Lough in particular the spectacular sun sets.

Peter Kennedy and Stephen Kane will be heading off this weekend to compete in the Flying Fifteen Westerns in Connemara - good luck team Ridgeway Online

Ahead of the Westerns the latest class ranking standings are updated following the Easterns.

​Things are exceptionally tight at the top of the fleet, with just 3.5 net points separating Niall O'Brien (4092) in 1st place from Peter Kennedy (4134) in 2nd, and the top five all within close striking distance. Local knowledge could prove decisive, as Niall and Dermot in boat 4092 will be sailing in their home waters this weekend!
​With 46 active boats currently ranked across four qualifying regattas, there is plenty still to play for across the board. Safe travels to everyone heading west to Rossaveel—looking forward to a brilliant weekend of racing! 🌊🏁

Irish Squib Nationals – Killyleagh ⛵

A great weekend for Royal North Squib sailors at the Irish Squib Nationals at Killyleagh Yacht Club last weekend, with a strong fleet of 35 boats competing in some very light and shifty winds.

A fantastic set of results for the club:

🥈 2nd – Afficionado – John & Bobby – despite a UFD 🎉
4th – Quickstep – Gordon & Ross – tied for 3rd but losing out on countback
🏆 9th – Second Chance – Stephen – including a race win!
🔟 10th – Prodigal – Greg & Rodger
🥇 16th – High Flier – Johnny & Sally – Silver Fleet winners
23rd – Inishmara – Simon & Hugh
24th – Gizmo – J***y & Bob
30th – Conquest – Trevor & John
A special mention also to Max Killiner, who sailed with Dick Batt and finished an excellent 12th.

A brilliant showing from all across the fleet. Well done to everyone who took part. Thank you Killyleagh Yacht Club for a fab weekend with all the hospitality! And to the sponsors Mash Direct.
