Irish Sailing Youth Championships

Huge congratulations to all Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club sailors who competed in the Irish Sailing Youth Championships (9–12 April) in very breezy conditions 🌬️⛵

A fantastic first place for Ellie Nolan & Niamh Coman in the RS Feva, alongside their RYA NI teammates Jessica Dadley Young and Sally Nixon who came 2nd overall. Well done also to Rafa Cobain & Peter Rideout on 3rd. 👏

Great performances in the Topper 5.3 fleet from Hugh Hutchinson (14th) and Toby Price (25th), especially in the tough final-day breeze.

Brilliant to see Ellie and Niamh bringing home the ISA gold medal 🥇

Big thanks to the RNIYC rescue team and Denis Todd (Jury boat) for their support to the event on the water.

Huge thanks to Irish Sailing and BYC for a fantastic event.

In the words of Bill O’Hara at the prize giving “Sail to win or sail for enjoyment—but keep sailing!”
