‼️ Fishing the Mersey from 31st October 2026 - February 2027 ‼️

Anglesey Fishing & Boat Trips will be fishing the river Mersey targeting cod, whiting & rays from 31st October - February 2027. The boat will be departing from Brunswick Marina, Liverpool, L3 4BP (approximately 10 hours) or from Monks Ferry Car Park, Alabama Way, Birkenhead, CH41 5LJ (7 hours). We take a maximum of 8 people. £70pp including equipment

With the nights drawing in, it’s soon going to be time to start our evening trips again, I will have a look at the diary over the next week and see if I can get some dates up, I will also have the Mersey dates done over the next few days 😃

On our RSPB sightseeing tour yesterday, it was nice to see some risso dolphins 🐬😃

Yesterday on our South Stack & North tour we saw;
10 Grey seals 🦭
1 x peregrine
2 x Choughs
Cormorants
Kittiwakes
Herring gulls

On our Skerries tour we saw;
8 grey seals 🦭
1 gannet
3 manx Shearwaters
Loads of shag/cormorants
Black back gulls
Full pod of Rissos! 🐬

Evening all 😃😃, just looking at how the season etc has gone so far and looking at new ideas for next season to make things easier for everyone, now the main struggle for us this year has been bait 😩😩😩, either the lack of it, or what some of you people are trying to use for bait 🤦‍♂️ (you honestly wouldn’t believe)😂😂, so what I’m thinking is from next season all our introduction to fishing trips will include tackle and bait?? And for the general fishing trips I could possibly have a section on the website that you click to include bait while booking?? Obviously this would have to increase the price of the trips slightly, £6 per person on the introduction to fishing and £10 on the general fishing (9-4) if needed, let me know your thoughts, thanks 😀

Couldn’t of asked for better weather, for the swim around the island of Anglesey 😄

Sue is attempting to swim around the Island of Anglesey in one go today. Sue has been training for 2 years & has previously swam the English Channel and around Jersey in the Channel Islands before this 😍

Today Sue started at 04:30 at the Bolliver buoy out at sea & will be finishing at Bolliver buoy 🌊.. near church bay.

Update: Just to let you know Sue had to abandon her swim due to the tidal turn which happened earlier than expected 1 1/2 miles or so from Puffin Island. A superb effort, 25miles around in 7hrs 50mins off from a 4:33am start time.

On our fishing trips we will be targeting mackerel, tope, smooth hounds, po***ck, huss & dogs.

Our sightseeing tours are dog friendly and wheelchair accessible. Potential wildlife you may see; puffins, seals, manx shearwaters, shags, razorbills, guillemots, black guillemot, gannet, fulmar, swallows, herring gull, great blackedbacked gull, lesser black backed gull, arctic terns, common tern, Canada geese & grey lag geese.
