Hello everyone and welcome to my Combat Fitness class page. I have over 10 years experience working in the fitness industry and have previously taught group fitness classes such as Circuit Training, Boxercise, Bodypump, RPM (spinning), and Body Combat.
Paul's Combat Fitness is modelled on Body Combat so if you've done that before then you know what your in for. If not, Combat Fitness is a choreographed mixed martial arts aerobics class. Or in other words it is non-contact punching, elbowing, kneeing and kicking to great music.
It is my absolute favourite type of exercise because of its wide variety of benefits. It is excellent for your mental health (de-stresser and a co-ordination brain workout), cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, muscular definition, posture, balance, flexibility and calorie burning. It is also great for real, person to person socialisation, especially in our increasingly digitalised world. In-person group exercise can give you the extra boost in motivation which can be difficult to achieve when training on your own, or in an online setting.
Suitable for all fitness levels! Your first class is free so why not come and give it a try. The class is held at The Woodhead Barn in Hepworth/Holmfirth which is the home of the Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team. £1 from every class fee will be donated to the team to support the life saving work of these amazing 24/7 volunteers.
