Improvement works start today to provide a new, continuous path from Bridge Lane to Holmfirth Leisure Centre.

The existing pathway which crosses Sands Rec, is being extended to follow the route of the restricted byway past the Bowling Club and Cricket Club to Bridge Street.

The new path, which should take approximately two weeks to complete (weather-dependent) will provide a suitable route for pedestrians, bicycles, scooters, horses, pushchairs, and wheelchairs all year round, improving active travel routes into the town centre and ensuring they are accessible to all.

Current access will be maintained throughout the works.

Holmfirth Bowling Club is calling for nominations to win a £1,000 Movement for Good Award from Benefact Group.

We are encouraging our supporters to nominate us for a chance to win £1,000 as part of Benefact Group’s annual Movement for Good Awards, which is giving over £1million away to charities and good causes.

Irrespective of any political affiliations, it was very nice to get a mention in the House of Commons s today, thanks to Paul Davies MP for recognising the great work we and other groups do in the area!

Business Stream We have raised an issue with you several times, emailed, chased up a response to the email, put a complaint on your web portal - but still nothing! We have not paid our bill and the complaint explains why, so instead of sending us reminders perhaps if your right hand and your left hand liaised with each other we might see progress!
