Holmfirth Bowling Club is honoured to be hosting the Dearne and Don Bowling League Individual Merit Final tomorrow Sunday 12th July 2026.

Bowling starts at 2pm and involves 16 of the finest bowlers from the Dearne and Don league playing through to a winner on the day.

Food and refreshments will be available, weather prospects are good again.

Everyone welcome to spectate, support and relax in nice surroundings.

Improvement works start today to provide a new, continuous path from Bridge Lane to Holmfirth Leisure Centre.

The existing pathway which crosses Sands Rec, is being extended to follow the route of the restricted byway past the Bowling Club and Cricket Club to Bridge Street.

The new path, which should take approximately two weeks to complete (weather-dependent) will provide a suitable route for pedestrians, bicycles, scooters, horses, pushchairs, and wheelchairs all year round, improving active travel routes into the town centre and ensuring they are accessible to all.

Current access will be maintained throughout the works.
