🤎 🧡 2026 Season Awards 🧡 🤎

Back of the Year - Reece Brown
Forward of the Year - Jack Dyson Sanderson
Coaches Player - Jude Armitage
Captains Player - Jacob Hinchcliffe
Players Player - Jack Dyson Sanderson
Top Try Scorer - Reece Brown
Most Improved - Tom Twaites
Top Trainer - Jacob Cowgill

That's a wrap on the 2026 season and to cap off what has been a very up and down season we have the individual awards for the players. Up first is our captain Reece Brown, Winning Back of the year and top try scorer for the second year running but nonetheless very well deserved after some performances from this year. Next up is Jack Dyson Sanderson Winning Forward of the year and Players player, Very few things to say about Jack other than he's reliable as f*** and possibly the most versatile player in the world he's played every position on the field and not once looked out of place. Following on from that is coaches player of the year this award has been handed to young Jude Armitage who has really come into his own this year after a slow start to the year Jude has solidified his name in the starting squad the hard work has evidently paid off as he has deservedly won the award. Next on the List is Jacob Hinchcliffe who has won Captains player of the year but remains unphotographed so I will keep it short and sweet, This year he transitioned from Ho**er to Half Back and has proved his worth in gold taking control of this lot is no easy task but he has done it and made it seem like a doddle and long may it continue. Next up is Young Tom Twaites who has won Most Improved and his performances show it at the start of the year Tom was a player you probably wouldn't have trusted to run the water on without spilling it but after months of hard work from him turning up to training early to do extras and ask a million questions to everyone to try and improve his game it has started to show and game after game he just keeps getting better and better and we look forward to his games next year and look forward to some more of his dance moves at the next team night out 😉. Last and definitely least is Top Trainer and this has been awarded to Jake Cowgill aka Cow not much to say about this one basically just turns up to training week in week out sweats like a pig on heat and does the hard work and looks like something out of Baywatch whilst doing so...... or so he wishes.

A great day yesterday up at underbank for the 10’s & 12’s gala day. Some good rugby on display, Congratulations to Dodworth miners on winning the tournament. The day of rugby was followed by some good company and great singers in the evening. What a day 🧡🤎

After a good 80 minutes of rugby Drighlington proved best. Neither team were prepared to back down from the arm wrestle and mistakes were well capitalised on. But in the end a well drilled drig side came out on top. Onto our last game of the season Bramley away which is make or break in our push for play offs

21/08/2026

This is your Squad that is lining up in the final home game of the season against Drighlington in what promises to be a tough battle as we make one final big push to hopefully finish the season off strong in the play offs. 2:30 Kick Off get down and show the boys some support as we play our final home game of the season

At long last after a long few weeks of losses and intense training it all came together in yesterdays game against birkenshaw. From minute one the lads looked good in attack and even stronger in defence. The scoreline doesn’t represent the dominant performance from the boys with 3 disallowed tries we were dissapointed the scoreline did not favour us more but we walked away with the 2 points and our heads held high. 2 games to the end of the season and hopefully with results going our way play offs
