I was really excited to work with Beth since she’s such a strong and talented athlete, and it was a pleasure to sort her programming out for the past few months.

We worked a lot on specific goals like ring muscle ups and output through metcons, and worked around the open and competition.

Feeling a boost of determination following last weeks comp…

In my own head there’s a point to prove now after missing out on first place by losing a 2 point lead in the last event. Definitely more gutted about that than I should be, but expectations were set and not met 🤷‍♂️

At the end of the day competing at even top end RX level takes a lot of work and commitment and you want to show that has paid off on the comp floor

A goal now to also get back going up in the elite division and put up a good fight there 🥊

So it’s all go for training to be ready for some summer comps 👀 bring on a busy time of quals 💨

Client shoutouts for putting in some big efforts through this open 💪🏼 super proud of the lot of them for that 😌

In no particular order…
jc ended up with his best ever open finish to date in his 7th open. Putting up some solid scores and coming well into the top 10% which was one of our main goals. Onto the QF’s now. 📈

smashing his first ever open. Fresh to the CF game the only issue we had was them bloody double unders. Being a very new skill it was a big ask but still getting 250 of them done in that wod is a huge achievement. Mega effort 👏

for smashing it as expected, even when ill putting up awesome scores and easily making top 3% and QF’s 🤝

for getting the workouts done following a sub optimal spell of training from a football injury, but still doing well to complete the workouts fully RX 💪🏼

getting the first two nailed out and as always sending the wods into a deep pain cave 💨
crossfit for challenging herself to push past her comfort zone in some workouts that weren’t her cup of tea ☕️ but still getting it done all RX✔️

for really pushing herself to RX 2/3 workouts, which is a huge achievement and a sign of the hard work done to get to this point 👏

for smashing each wod with absolute 100% effort and getting back to some impressive levels of fitness now 📈

Great people deserve great results and this lot are class. Really happy to work with them all and looking forward to doing my best to help them progress further!

Training weaknesses ain’t fun, most of the time it’s the complete opposite 🤕🤬 but it’s also necessary to progress and fulfil potential 🤝

Unless you’re a peak mat fraser or tia toomey you’ve probably got at least one big weakness that needs work 👀

I can help you turn that weakness into a strength. It’s not just about hitting the movement aimlessly and hoping for the best, you need balance in your programming and proven accessory work to make the most out of your time and really give you the best shot of progression…

Hyrox preparation whilst training for CrossFit 🤔

Have a look through if this is something you’re looking to do. I’d recommend giving hyrox a crack just to test yourself in a different setting and longer workout than you’re probs ever going to see in a CrossFit comp… or don’t, doesn’t really matter 🤷‍♂️

First team event done and it was a great experience, quite enjoyable to have the boys there to share the pain 🤝😅

Couple key takeaways from the day…

We should have practiced… really you get found out if you haven’t in complex synchro work 🪞

Team comp is waaayyyy less intimidating than solo, and it’s a great way to get into trying competing out 😌

… oh and synchro TTB and TTR are awful 👎🤣

But proud of the effort from the team and looking forward to giving another one a crack 🫡
