Delivering girls only participation in West Yorkshire

The Spring League fixtures for 2026 are officially underway, and we couldn’t be more excited!

This season, we are proud to welcome new clubs into an already established nucleus of fantastic female futsal teams who continue to raise the standard of the game across West Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire Futsal League (WYFL) is the only West Riding FA affiliated and sanctioned girls’ futsal competition in our region, providing a safe, structured and professionally delivered environment for female players to compete, develop and thrive.

At GWL UNITED we are incredibly proud to champion this platform, because Fantastic Futsal develops, quick decision making, technical confidence, game intelligence and creativity under pressure.

We often describe the expansion of female futsal participation as ‘Pushing Treacle Uphill’… Further growth of the league is splendid to see 🤩

SCORING A FIRST FOR KIRKLEES!

Following last season’s Kirklees Shield competition endorsed by Futsal England, West Yorkshire Futsal League and West Riding FA are proud to announce the historic introduction of our regions first fully sanctioned and FA affiliated league competition.

This partnership will provide unprecedented opportunities for female players, coaches, and officials to experience Futsal in a dedicated female centric environment.
