It’s all mega exciting! I love doing things that I know are going to massively help, impact and support others.
But sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m just one person, and being productive also means doing F all!
I had this discussion with a client just this week, about using time more productively, and that sometimes resting and taking a breather IS the most productive thing we can do for ourselves.
To pause.
To reset.
To restore.
To recalibrate.
We can spend so much of our time doing doing doing, adding to our ‘to do’ list and piling on the pressure.
But it’s important to also BE.
We’re human BEings, not human DOINGS.
Last week I started to feel the overwhelm and overload. So this week, I’ve been carving out guilt-free time to have a bath (an annual occurrence!), take daily walks, get into nature, to say no, do a bit of breathwork, and to STOP.
If you’re also overwhelm or anxious feelings this week, try some of these techniques to help slow down your nervous system:
🤍What things can you say “no” to?
🤍Write it all out to get it out of your head and onto paper. Your ‘to dos’, your worries, all of it.
🤍Try a bit of simple breathwork to slow down your heart rate and thoughts (4:4:4:4 box breathing is a great one)
🤍Ask for help! It’s okay to seek advice or support, or simply just ask a friend if they can just listen to you.
You got this 😌
