Our Waterways, Our Responsibility 🛶💙
As paddlers, we see first hand the impact of plastic pollution on our blue spaces. Whether you’re an instructor, a leader, or a recreational paddler, we all have a role to play in protecting the environments that give us so much.
The Big Paddle Clean Up is back for 2026, and it’s time for the paddlesport community to come together once again. Last year was record-breaking, with thousands of volunteers removing over 1,800 sacks of rubbish from our rivers, canals, and coastlines. This year, we want to go even further.
Why get involved?
âś… Lead by Example: For coaches and leaders, this is a great way to engage your groups in environmental stewardship.
âś… Protect our Blue Spaces: Help remove the plastic, glass, and junk that threatens our local wildlife and ecosystems.
âś… Community Action: Join hundreds of clubs and centres across the UK making a tangible difference.
At Paddles Up Training, we believe that great paddling starts with caring for the water we use. Whether you’re joining an organised event or simply picking up litter during your next session, every piece of plastic removed counts.
