The club was established in 1947, and initially played in the Mid-Essex League. They later joined the Southend District League, before becoming members of the Southend Borough Combination in 1982. In 1984, they joined Division Two of the Essex Olympian League, and were promoted to Division One in their first season after finishing third. They narrowly avoided relegation in their first season in Di
vision One, finishing thirteenth out of fifteen clubs, but the following season finished bottom and were relegated back to Division Two. In 1990 the club was accepted into the Essex Senior League, where they have remained since. Their best season to date was in 1997–98 when they finished sixth. In season 2013/14 Hullbridge Sports were winners of the Gordon Brasted Trophy.
