🎯 WYKIN SINGLES LEAGUE – TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST BULLETIN 🎯
Another week completed and the tables are really starting to take shape. Some big performances across all three divisions, plenty of maximums and movement in the standings as the battles continue!
🔵 DIVISION ONE
Lewis Underwood remains top of Division One on 38 points, six clear of Martin Giddings on 32, with Kevin Taylor sitting third on 30. Eddie Cross and Lauren Hall are level on 27 points just behind them.
The scoring in Division One was outstanding this week, with Martin Giddings leading the way. Martin hit a massive SEVEN 180s, taking his season total to 20, and he now holds the highest overall average in the division at 73.42.
Lewis Underwood, Eddie Cross and Lauren Hall all added two maximums, while Kevin Taylor and Aaron Wall also found the treble 20 bed.
⭐ DIVISION ONE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MARTIN GIDDINGS
Seven 180s in one week and a 73.42 overall average — some serious scoring and a thoroughly deserved Player of the Week! 🎯🔥
🟢 DIVISION TWO
What a battle we’ve got developing at the top of Division Two!
Adam Mallabone has moved into top spot on 33 points, but there is absolutely nothing in it, with Jeff Wheeler and Max Simpson both sitting just one point behind on 32. Paul Goodfellow remains well in contention on 27.
Mallabone currently leads the division averages with an excellent 63.99, narrowly ahead of Wheeler on 63.25.
The 180s were flying here too, with Max Simpson stealing the show by hitting an incredible SIX maximums, taking his season tally to 8.
And Max very nearly produced something even more special — he went five perfect darts into a possible 9-darter! 🎯🔥 Not quite the perfect leg this time, but a brilliant effort and certainly one of the highlights of the week.
Adam Mallabone added three 180s, Jeff Wheeler two, with Graham Cross and Paul Goodfellow also adding maximums.
Jamie Barber was absent this week, so his figures remain from his previous appearances.
⭐ DIVISION TWO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MAX SIMPSON
Six 180s, five perfect darts into a possible nine-darter and sitting just one point off the top — a superb week’s darts from Max! 👏
🟠 DIVISION THREE
The battle at the top of Division Three is getting interesting!
Jack Paul remains the leader on 34 points, but Ben Shakespear is closing in on 31, with Sam Stallard still firmly involved in third on 28.
Ben has made a strong push, going from 19 points to 31, cutting Jack’s advantage from five points to just three. Sam has also climbed from 18 to 28 points, so the top three are beginning to pull away.
There’s been movement further down the table too, with Daniel Towers moving up into 4th, while Hayden Hunt sits 5th having been absent this week.
Alan Deakin added another 180 to the Division Three tally, while Jack Paul continues to lead the averages with 54.23.
⭐ DIVISION THREE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BEN SHAKESPEAR
A big points haul has put Ben right onto the leader’s heels. Just three points now separate Jack and Ben at the top, so this one could be very interesting over the coming weeks! 🎯
