I now have a beautiful 8-month-old baby girl (yes… this update is VERY overdue!!)

As my maternity leave comes to an end, I’m really lucky to have found such a wonderful organisation- The Place in Faringdon!

I’ll be offering free pre and postnatal classes on Mondays!

Postnatal classes fill up quickly, so feel free to get in touch to find out about the next available course.

🌟 Exciting News – I’ve Moved & I’m Relaunching NEW Pilates Classes! 🌟

Hello, Highworth! 👋 I am ready to announce that Pilates by Victoria has relocated, and I can’t wait to bring my Pilates classes to the Highworth community! 💙✨

As I build my business, I will start by offering Prenatal Pilates Courses. This will then expand to Postnatal Courses. Throughout this time I can offer 1:1 sessions at the comfort of your own home.

If you’re looking to relieve aches and pains, improve mobility, and move with confidence, my classes are designed for YOU.

What truly motivates me to practice Pilates is...

to just... FEEL GOOD!

I personally do Pilates to:
- Not be held back by chronic hip pain and lower back flare ups.
- Have some "me time". Pilates is my form of meditation and mindfulness.
- Be the mum I want to be: Have patience to handle a toddler's tantrum, mobility to handle all those awkward positions I find myself being forced into!! And be strong enough to carry my daughter when needed... and not regret it the next day!!
- Be active and independent till my last breath on this earth!

How does Pilates help this?

- Pilates targets all the muscles and range of motion I need to improve my hip and lower back.
- In the increasingly rare occasions that I do have a flare up, I know how to subdue it and recover more quickly.
- Prioritising my health lets me be the mum I want to be physically and mentally. Pilates helps strengthen my mind body connection, reduce stress, and teach my body how to move better.
- Everything I do now is also for the benefit of my future self! The time I put in to Pilates is an investment in the quality of my life later on.

I often hear comments at the end of class such as:

- I feel so light!
- I feel taller!
- I feel so much more freedom in my movement.
- At work I notice I don't get the aches I would normally get from sitting all day.
- I haven't felt "X" pain since starting these classes!

Feeling like Tin Man sometimes? Or ALL the time?

Pilates can help supply that much needed "few dabs of oil"!

Why Pilates and not any old exercise?

Pilates breaks down your movements to their core, highlights problem areas and prevents you from compensating to avoid them!

What do I mean by this?

Our body likes to help us! So when a certain muscle is weak and/or tight, other muscles will help out so we can continue to move!

Over a long period of time these small compensations encourage important muscles to "switch off" and cause other muscles to overwork by picking up the slack!

Cue tightness, aches and pains!!

Regular Pilates will teach your body to wake up those important muscles and help your muscles to work congruently again.
