So had two clubs at the gym tonight
first up we had Blue Flames A.B.C Taunton always a pleasure with these guys and very polite and respectful some great rounds from the 10 year olds and the teens .

2nd we had sweatbox abc travel down from Bristol again polite respectful brought a tough 0 bout lady down gave keira some good rounds

The counties box cup champion evie Walcott
So king alfreds team headed out again for another box cup

First up we had ethan Walcott boxing in quarter finals on Friday boxed a very technical boxer was pretty hard done by the result but that's boxing at times unfortunately lost on points .

2nd we have devon saunders this lad puts in 100% every session but unfortunately came across a hard hitting pressure boxer and just couldn't get room and time to get into the bout and was stopped .he be back for sure

3rd we had evie Walcott straight final boxed best we seen from her straight shots and pressure got the win with a top performance and became home counties box cup champion great work .

All 3 these work so hard in gym and really starting see it from them we keep moving forward and keep learning on the way .

So last night we had 4 boxers out at local show at Sydenham abc show .
Lets start by saying massive thanks to them for giving us some spots on there show and getting our boxers out locally .

2nd want say thanks to all the support these boxers got from family and friends it means alot to the boxers and us coaches as can hear the support for all boxers big love ❤️

So let's go in order first up we had devon saunders this bout was only arranged on the Friday short notice for both lads but clearly both lads been putting the effort in the gym both gave a great display boxing in a close well matched bout unfortunately devons hand never got raised at end massive respect to his opponent as was his first bout showed no nerves was such close and well matched bout both gyms agreed run it again 👏

Next up ethan Walcott ethans original opponent pulled out day before bout and we had find a replacement unfortunately there was no one available such short notice but Bideford abc stepped up save the day now this was a tough ask for ethan as lad was a 25 bout lad and mixed with the top boys but us coaches know ethans ability. Ethan stood with the lad for 3 rounds in a great bout the experience from the boxer and coaches took ethans boxing away from him kept it close and tactics won them the bout but super proud ethans 6 bout lad against 25 bout lad showed what level this lad is and effort he puts in the gym.

Next up with have evie Walcott both girls started fast and first round close 2nd round evie opponent looked tired and evie took the round in the 3rd round both girls were tied from the fast pace and evie opponent bite down just showed she wanted it abit more this was another well matched bout and both gyms agreed love see that again and run it back right girl won on the night well done Gloucester abc

Lastly we have keira palmer with both girls with a similar record was a well matched bout keira two tough girls stood trading credit to both women none them wanted take a backwards step and in 3rd round keira came out in top gear got a standing count and at end had her hand raised massive respect to mel from weston abc was a great bout and again both gyms and boxers have agreed would love do it again so another return bout in future .

Thanks all the coaches and great to have Roger Cross back in them corners

So we have four boxers all boxing tomorrow locally all in cross over bouts at Sydenham abc we have ethan Walcott evie Walcott two cousins on same show for the first time also keira palmer she put on a great display at the Riviera box cup and itching to get back into the ring again and devon saunders taking a last minute bout tomorrow night want wish all four you the best of luck and remember to enjoy it anyone wanting show support there maybe tickets available on door or give joe a call on the number on poster at bottom

Lets talk riviera box cup !

Words can't say how proud we are these 3 boxers this weekend .

We start with the youngest evie Walcott evie a 2 bout novice went up in weight from 48kg boxer to 50-52kg in the semi finals she boxed a 10 bout girl worked super hard and got the win in the final she was in with a very tall again 10 bout girl and just struggled with the range massive respect going up a weight category boxing girls physically bigger then herself 👊

Next up we have kenzie samuels again 2 bout lad both losses and we drawn in the semi finals against same lad he boxed on debut we know it we going be a tough ask but have seen huge improvements from kenzie since that first bout but also his opponent had improved massively from his impressive debut he was a tall hard hitting boxer and kenzie was stopped after 3 standing counts by his opponent who went on to win the box cup showed massive heart grit and guts 😉

Lastly we have keira palmer she had a straight final against a taller opponent who went thought was going box long but didn't credit to both these girls they both stood toe to toe for 3 rounds both none stop punching kiera got a standing count first round and seem wake her up 2nd was close round and the 3rd keira left it all in that ring and gave the girl two standing counts from my angle in corner believed keira did enough to get the win but I wasn't the judges and unfortunately lost but take nothing away from her opponent as both put in a great show for the crowd was none stop action and speaking to the girls coach and boxers they both would love to run it back .

You boxers done the club super proud this weekend should all be buzzing with all of your performances .

Also well done to all there opponents on winning the Riviera box cups and torbay boxing club for putting on such a great event really was special and a weekend to remember 👍
