Competition winner announcement!! 📣

A huge congratulations to our NOVICE TO KNOX winner, Greg Facey!! 🥊🔥

Greg was selected from our finalists through a random draw and we genuinely cannot wait to get started!

Over the next six months he’ll have full access to the gym and classes, specialist coaching from the Hardknox team and will be learning everything from the ground up as he works from complete beginner towards becoming a boxer 🥊

We’ll be working on fitness, technique, confidence, discipline and all the bits in between with the final goal of working towards competing on our Spring home show! 💪

We’ll be documenting the journey along the way too so you can all follow the progress, undoubtedly the hard work and hopefully a pretty incredible boxing journey!

A huge thank you to everyone who entered please do keep your eyes peeled for future competitions and congratulations again Greg!!

The excitement is building, and we’re delighted to announce another two fantastic bouts for what is shaping up to be an incredible night at Gloves & Glamour on Saturday 7th November.

🔥 ALFIE CLEVERLEY vs LUKE MALLABY 🔥

Our very own Alfie Cleverley will be taking on B-elites Luke Mallaby Both lads bring a whole lot of heart, excellent fundamentals and plenty of skill to the ring.
Two talented young boxers going head to head in what promises to be a fantastic contest 🥊

They’ve both put the work in, and when that bell rings, there’s only one thing guaranteed…

One of them will get the nod 🥊

Our MAIN EVENT - JAMIE ROBERTS vs JAKE EMMET 🔥

Hardknox’s Jamie Roberts takes on Wincanton Boxing Gym’s Jake Emmett .

There is a serious amount of experience between these two. Both bring a high boxing IQ, plenty of ability and a real understanding of the game.

Behind the scenes, both lads are working extremely hard, and we genuinely believe this has all the ingredients to be one of our best main events yet.

Our head coaches, Bobby and Harry, are excited to welcome back all our Under 11s! 🖤

I was recently involved in a conversation with someone about boxing. They mentioned that boxing wasn't for them, which is completely understandable, it really isn’t for everyone. However, they followed that up by saying they "don’t see the point" in it. I took absolutely no offense to the comment, but it did make me want to share a different perspective

If you look at boxing and only see people punching each other in the face, you are missing the bigger picture.This sport is a genuine life changer. The core values and fundamentals of boxing reflect the very basics of navigating life. There is truly no better way to combat mental health struggles and anxiety. Not only do you get into the best physical shape of your life, but you also build a stronger outlook on the world. You gain discipline, inner strength, and resilience while building an all around stronger body and mind 🙌

On top of that, you join a supportive community and make lifelong friendships along the way. What’s even better is that we get to teach these values in schools and work alongside local authorities to reach as many people as possible 🥊

This isn’t just true for our club, it applies to all local boxing gyms. Our sport really is magical and massively overlooked. It is open to all ages and people from all walks of life. Hopefully, one day, that person will step into a gym and see firsthand what this amazing sport does to lift people up!

Huge shout out to all the clubs and coaches out there changing lives every single day and proving those misconceptions wrong. Keep up the amazing work! 🖤🥊

We’re incredibly excited to announce our FIRST BOUT for GLOVES & GLAMOUR, Saturday 7th November! 🥂🥊

🔥 REGAN SMITH vs BLAKE WATKINSON 🔥

Hardknox Boxing 🆚 Tiverton Boxing Academy

And this one is a REMATCH! 👀💥

These two met on our last show after Blake stepped up at very short notice following a late pull out. What followed was a fantastic, closely fought contest, with both lads showing tremendous heart, determination and sportsmanship 🫡

Regan eventually secured the stoppage after applying huge pressure, but we always felt Blake deserved a fair opportunity to come back and put things right.

So… THE REMATCH IS ON! 🔥🥊

Both lads have been building solid records, with Regan coming into this one off three consecutive stoppage wins. Two talented young boxers, both hungry to prove themselves, and both setting the standard when it comes to local boxing and sportsmanship 🫡

But this is just ONE of the exciting bouts we have lined up for what promises to be an incredible night! 👀

We would like to say a massive thank you to Towans Residential Care Home for putting on such a lovely summer fete and inviting us along! 🖤♥️

It was great to spend the afternoon there, meeting some amazing people and getting to see first-hand the wonderful work Towans does within our community.

We are incredibly grateful that Towans has chosen to donate the proceeds from the fete to our little club, with the money going directly into our Hardknox Roots Fund! 🙌

The Hardknox Roots Fund helps us support disadvantaged children and adults by contributing towards memberships, training kit and access to a safe, welcoming environment where they can learn a new skill, build confidence and make positive changes in their lives.

We honestly couldn’t be more thankful. Donations like this make such a genuine difference to what we are able to offer and the people we are able to support.

Thank you so much to everyone at Towans Residential Care Home for having us and for letting us be a small part of such a wonderful afternoon!! 🥊🖤♥️
