Yesterday was a tough day in the Scoreboards Online factory in Somerset.
Unfortunately an adjacent property caught fire causing significant damage to one of our buildings. Without the prompt actions of Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue, I am certain the damage to our building would have been total. As it stands, we have sustained some damage which will be repaired but our team have been hard at work clearing and preparing for the future.
At Scoreboards Online, we would like to offer a an amazing THANK YOU to the Fire Service. Their assistance in forming a human chain to get stock out of the building to avoid damage was nothing but amazing and truly respectful of what the Scoreboards Online team have been building for the last few years.
Thank you to all our neighbours who joined in the chain to get stock out and safely packed away in their buildings for us.
The messages of support and offers of assistance we have received from Customers, Suppliers and friends over the last 24 hours is humbling beyond belief.
Our thoughts are with those from the other businesses affected more than ourselves.
We think we will be more or less fully operational by the end of the week - barring the remedial work required in one side of our building - but plans have been made and we will relocate as necessary to allow the work to take place. Apologies to the very few customers that have experienced a delay with their delivery. The fun now starts with the insurers!
