*Higham Town 1-1 Moulton Magpies*

A hard fought draw in Higham Town’s first game in the U18 league for a couple of seasons and in the end a fair result overall.

Both teams worked incredibly hard and played some quality possession based football. Higham went 1-0 up in the first half, after which Moulton pressed for an equalizer, which came after creating a couple of nice chances.

1-1 at half time, the second half was more of the same with a fairly even battle, both teams trying to play good football and a few chances at either end.

Great game to watch and a positive first experience for Higham back at the U18 level.

The centre-half was superb from start to finish, and finished the game wearing the captain’s armband. 💪🔵

It wasn’t our day for either side yesterday, but both teams will take the lessons and go again. 💪

🔵 First Team

We knew it would be a tough afternoon against Roade, and it proved to be exactly that. The lads played some good football but gifted Roade a few chances which were ultimately punished.

Full-time: Higham Town 1-3 Roade

⚽️ Dan Long

👏 Well done to Dan Long, who not only got on the scoresheet but also picked up Man of the Match from the bench!

🔵 Reserves

The Reserves travelled to Wootton and unfortunately found themselves on the wrong side of a tough scoreline, going down 5-0.

There were some really good spells of football, but once again, mistakes at key moments were punished.

⭐️ Man of the Match: Fin Norton

Both teams dust themselves down, take the positives and go again next week.

The Higham Town Under 18s play their first league game this week! ⚽️

Our first game in the All Counties Premier Youth League sees us host Moulton Magpies at Lancaster Park.

It’s a big moment for the lads and we’d love to see plenty of support down there cheering the team on! 👏
