Cold water shock. Floating to live. Staying calm. Making safe decisions. These are practical, potentially lifesaving skills that every young person should know.

Join us on 20th June for our Open Water Safety Session and help your child build confidence, knowledge, and awareness around water safety. Suitable for children aged 8+ / Stages 5 and above.

As you’ll have seen, we are still organising events and activities, trying to raise money and awareness of this project.

We have raised approximately £67,000 with pledges and donations so far, and have a conditional grant of £7,500 which we are working hard to secure. Other grant applications are also in progress so although we may have not given an update recently work is very much continuing to turn this asset into a year round usable facility for the school and the whole community.

In order to try and progress the project faster we have split the work into two phases, with phase one being to cover the pool to enable a longer swimming usage period and community swimming and phase two to include heating to enable year round usage.

If you’re wondering how you might be able to support, please do get in contact, whether you’re able to offer resources, funding or time we would love to hear from you.
