Unfortunately due to a unfit pitch the game is postponed 👎

This Sunday the boys are travelling up to the North East to the home of Bishop Auckland FC to play Witton Park FC Rose & Crown in the long awaited Sunday National FA Cup third round tie and last 32 in the country in this competition
It will be the biggest game in the club’s 12 year history to date.

The lads are in a rich vein of form, high on confidence and could do with all the support we can get! We have a 53 seater coach booked and paid for and have a number of seats available.

If anybody can come over to support the boys please get in touch with one of the lads it can be arranged.

November has seen us go unbeaten and score over 30 goals in 4 games. Player of the month was a hard one to pick but with 5 goals and 10 assists this player is a well deserved winner

He’s led by example and on the pitch he’s found the kind of form that made him instrumental in the 2022 quad winning side. Player of the month - Jordan Burton 👏

3rd round of the Manchester county cup against FC Mountfield and the lads started fast scoring 3 goals in the opening 15minutes to put a stamp on the game early on
With some great football played,the lads was patient in build up and relentless when it was called for coming in 6-0 to the good at half time

Fair play to the opposition they never gave up and after making multiple changes it took us abit to get into the groove again so the lads used the ball well and probed until we gained another brilliant goal in the 2nd half with some great interchanging football

The lads let the foot off in the last minute and credit to mountfield they got their goal to take it to 7-1 and take the clean sheet away from us

Was brilliant after game for both sets of players to come back to our local pub and watch the football aswell alot of respect for that lads 👏

Sunday the lads face FC Mountfield in the Manchester county cup last 16 at home, with the boys in great form and together as a group and enjoying their football together

📢 CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT – BRIAN FARRELL STEPS DOWN AS AVENUE FC CHAIRMAN

After 12 incredible years at the helm, Brian Farrell has officially resigned from his role as Chairman of Avenue FC.

Brian leaves behind a legacy that will forever be part of the club’s identity. When he first took charge, Avenue FC was little more than an idea. Over the next decade, he built it from the ground up into one of the strongest and most respected Sunday League teams in the North West.

Under his leadership, Avenue FC achieved:

🏆 6 League Titles
🏆 7 League Cups
🏆 1 County Cup
🏆 Two appearances in the Sunday FA Cup, reaching as far as the Third Round
⭐ A platform that helped players progress to clubs competing in county and national leagues, including teams as big as Bury and Rochdale
📺 Players who went on to feature on Soccer AM
🔥 Viral moments that reached audiences far beyond the local game
🏆 Historic success, including a quadruple-winning season for the First Team and a double-winning season for the Second Team — both in the same year, an achievement that will be incredibly hard to ever repeat

Brian’s dedication brought Heywood and Middleton open-age football to heights it had never reached before. His passion, commitment, and relentless drive have shaped the club’s culture and success story. His grassroots legacy will be felt for years to come.

Although he steps down from Avenue FC, Brian is far from finished with football. He is currently the First Team Head Coach at Heywood St James, where the team has incredibly won 15 out of 15 games under his leadership. He will now focus his energy on continuing that journey alongside the HSJ committee as he writes the next chapter of his football adventure.

Pre season started today for RBDSFL League Cup Champions Avenue as they took on Division Two League champions Breightmet United FC .

Sublime football on display , passing around the opponents , and being deadly infront of goal . New signing Paul Arrow on the scoresheet with two with an impressive start .

Good to get the lads out again in what will be another new look team representing the highly regarded Avenue Football Club name in its first year without Saturday football after the Heywood St James transition.
