Hello all, I will be at the SK battle at Worcester this August bank holiday. We have all the variants of the flasks as well as spares. Although we will not be on traders row we will be in London Brigade in Hammonds, just ask for Bob with the powder flasks.

Here is the new updated manufacture of the wooden body of the powder flask. Full Video. The lathe used for the routing out of the inside of the flask was removed from the workshop last year and the workshop re-designed. We also purchased a CNC carver prior to that so we better make best use of it!

In the years we have been making flasks we have produced over 500 flasks of varying designs but did you know that the original flask was made for Ruth, my wife before we were traders. The original concept was designed around off cuts of material I had purloined from my day job as a QM. The offcuts were from medical anaesthesia equipment, doctor blades from the paper making industry.
Soon these ran out and although the design never really changed we improved some of the features you see today. I have rarely made one off designs but in keeping with some customers I have silver plated one and made a stainless one.
Although in these unprecedented times sales have been slower than normal we have supplied recently to most areas of Europe and the USA but we still have our faithful UK customers who come back year on year, we are forever grateful for them and new customers as well. Spread the word we have most in stock at present.

After nearly 30 years of years of the basic same designs of powder flask (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!) we have developed a couple of new flasks for you. Many people were using the smaller flasks as primer flasks so now we have developed 2 primer flasks. The smallest primer will be around 1oz and the larger will be around 2oz. They still incorporate all the design features you would expect from a Plantagenet flask, interchangeable nozzle, spring shut off and slider and filler plug. The nozzle is not a measure and has a smaller bore than the 2 and 3 dram measures making it easier to prime. These are not yet on the website and are available to order only although we have 2 larger and one smaller in stock. Prices are £50 each plus postage and available by messaging me only. PayPal invoice will follow.

We have improved and modified the design of the bottom plug. This now features a thread length of 17mm and a 28mm hex head. We have also added an ‘O’ ring which slips over the thread and in positioned in the thread undercut. The advantage of the ‘O’ ring as it seats between the b**g and the housing is the b**g is less resistant to coming loose if not tightened correctly. The ‘O’ ring is easy to remove if you prefer the thread to be flush.
This item at present is not featured on the website as it’s hot off the press. Price is £9.00 plus postage.

The method hasn’t changed over the years but this year I have modified the manufacture of the wooden body, here we see the older method of the body. All other parts are manufactured in house by myself. Thanks for looking and coming shortly a new size of flask for priming.
