Today marks the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq Op Telic 2003

I had no idea at the time that I would be a soldier and be there just 4 years later in 2007

This invasion marked a significant geopolitical paradigm shift and the world became a very different place, particularly the Middle East where so many people have suffered and died because of lies and corruption among our political elite

179 British soldiers were killed, sent to fight in an illegal war, based on a pile of lies, hundreds of Iraqi civilians dead, the shambolic handover and ex*****on of Saddam Hussein, the mess created across the whole region, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and more, the creation of ISIS....

Please take a moment today think of all those who have suffered at the hands of greedy, corrupt politicians
