KYC 2026, Day one of our annual regatta was a tremendous success, gorgeous cheese, wines, yummy curry, beer and cake and cocktails to finish. We welcomed new members, new boats arrived and the weather was very kind to us with a gorgeous sunset to finish the event.... let's see what tomorrow brings 🌠

Get your boat flags out, it's KYC regatta weekend 🎉 first up is tonight's cheese🧀wine 🍷food pairing 🍜with a cocktail and a sweet treat to finish then it's team raft building 🛶🛟.
Saturday will see a mystery cruise around the lake with a few little prizes then it's our RNLI float to live campaign. Let's see who manages to stay on thier paddle boards🏄! to finish the day we are hosting a club BBQ then we will race our rafts.🏄‍♀️
Sunday is a lazy day so a nice cruise to Leaplish for those that wish.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and especially a few new members.

What a fabulous weekend was had by all attendees, kick starting the weekend it was the Commodore's picnic which was extremely well attended, the food was plenty and Marion and Richard kindly supplied a few well needed ice cold refreshments, next up was the commodore chase. A popular race with a variety of boats on the lake, we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine and a gentle breeze. Everyone successfully completed the course and of course it was back to the club house for a well earned social lunch. Next up is our discover sailing open weekend next week. Keep your eyes pealed.

What a fantastic success our treasurer hunt was, from a thunder and lighting storm, ice lolly taxi express, clues from Whichope to the far Dam, coffee and soup stops, rescue missions and pirates☠️ stealing the treasurer. I think if Carlsberg did treasurer hunts it would definitely be ours. Big thanks to Colin and Annette for organising and, congratulations to Bill Clair on Full circle winning the prestigious round the lake Cup and now for the footy⚽️

Looking for a fun way to fill your day? Well look no further, Oooooaaaarrrr☠️ Colin and Annette have organised a treasure hunt on the water. All welcome including motor cruisers. There will also be a timed section for the more competitive sailors wishing to compete for the prestigious "Round The Lake" Cup. If your worried you will miss the world cup⚽️ then get that idea out your head because we got you covered! We will have a big screen showing the game live so get your snacks and refreshments in the fridge 🍻🍕

With the weather hotting up over the weekend it's worth giving this video a share. Here at KYC we are big fans of the FLOAT TO LIVE campaign. After last year's successful event we will be running another one over our regatta weekend.
