A huge thank you to the Gillespie Glamour crew on their weekends launch. This has been a extremely busy 3 days. Richard Gillespie's team have worked really hard to get everyone in safely. This would not be possible with our crew giving up thier precious time, thankfully we had our Commodore's birthday party on Saturday night so everyone was extremely well watered and feed..... very well watered🥂

Here at Kielder just 5 minutes from our fabulous yacht club we have the pleasure of being able to watch Ospreys live around the lake. The Osprey watch is situated next to Tower Knowe cafe. Suggest donation is £3 and this goes straight back into conservation 🦅

If your looking for a nice coffee and a little shopping trip then Tower Knowe is definitely worth a visit. 5 mins south of our yacht club, you will be spoilt for gift ideas and the staff are always willing to help 🎉

It is with a very heavy heart that I would like to inform members that sadly Mick Mckenna ( Dragonfly ) has passed away on the 12th of March, he had a wonderful send off from the Royal Marines. Mick was a very thought after man in KYC for many years. He especially loved his yacht Dragonfly and was often seen sailing with his good friend Dennis. Here's double trouble the commodore would alway say with a fond smile. KYC would like to send our sincere condolences to Mick's family. Fair winds my friend 🌈

First launch weekend wrapped up. A very smooth operation thanks to the A team. Big thanks to all the members that gave up thier weekend to help. Without these members we would not be able to operate. The crew were extremely grateful for the members who brought home baking and little treats as a thank you. Very much appreciated ⚓️
