So… I actually did it. 🥹🏃‍♀️

3 hours 24 minutes.

And honestly… what an experience.

After having tonsillitis the week before, running in that heat and wondering several times why on earth I’d signed myself up for this, I finally crossed that finish line.

And I cried. 😭

I was exhausted, emotional and quite frankly felt like a broken woman 😂 But amongst the tears, I felt incredibly proud too.

I did this for Tynedale Hospice at Home a charity that means so much to me and my family after they supported us when we cared for Mum at home. 💙
In the morning I had a little visitor, I wore mums perfume & I carried a photo too....just for when it got tough to remind me who's daughter I was 😜

To everyone who sponsored me, supported me, sent messages, shared my posts and cheered me on thank you, thank you, thank you. Your support genuinely got me through it.

I made a little video after I finished mainly to remind myself of exactly how I felt at the end… because whilst I’m SO proud of myself…

I am absolutely NOT a runner. 😂

And if I ever mention doing it again, please send me this video immediately. 🤣

I SAID ONE… YOU LADIES GAVE ME SEVEN! 👙❤️

It might not sound like a lot to some people…

But that’s 7. Yes, SEVEN women who came into Petals of Hexham chose a bikini and decided to put themselves out there. 🥹❤️

And honestly? That means EVERYTHING to us!

When I posted about wearing my bikini on holiday, I said that if Iit helped even one woman to wear a bikini, I’d be a happy lady.

Well… SEVEN ladies later and I’m doing a very happy dance! 💃🏻😂

Because bikini confidence isn’t about being a certain size, shape or age.

It’s about body confidence, feeling good in your own skin and giving yourself permission to enjoy your holiday, your body and your life right now. 👙☀️

As a women’s lingerie and swimwear shop, empowering women and helping women feel confident is at the heart of everything we do.

So these 7 bikinis aren’t just 7 sales.

WELL… THIS IS A BIT SPECIAL! 🌟

Petals of Hexham has been nominated for the Stars Underlines Best Shop Awards the Oscars of the lingerie world! 🥂✨

And somehow, our little independent lingerie shop in Hexham, Northumberland, has made the list alongside some truly amazing boutiques and retailers from across the UK. 🥹❤️

I’m pretty sure Mum would have been nominated many times over the years, but as many of you know, she wasn’t exactly a fan of social media, computers or anything that dragged her too far into the 21st century! 😂

So to have Petals recognised now, under my name, is incredibly emotional.

It’s about continuing Mum’s legacy ,her passion, her standards and everything Petals has stood for over the past 25 years.

A small lingerie shop in Hexham, serving our wonderful customers from across Northumberland, Newcastle and beyond, being recognised on a UK stage…

WOW. ❤️

We certainly aren't expecting to win, there are some incredible independent lingerie boutiques on that list ... but honestly, just being nominated is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.

One of the questions we get asked ALL the time is:

“Do I need an appointment for a bra fitting?”

And the answer is NO! 🤍

I DID IT. I WORE THE BIKINI. 👙❤️

And honestly… I never thought I'd be writing this! Now this is a no judging page....I ain't no supermodel! It's taken me a lot to post this 😲

I've had my eye on this Marie Jo Lingerie bikini for ages, but since having my son, I've struggled with the confidence to wear a bikini.

My body has changed over the years.Grown older, Mum tum, wobbly bits… you know the rest! 😂

But this holiday I thought…

Sod it. I'm wearing the bloody bikini! 🙌😂

And do you know what? I felt comfortable, confident and FREE.

I honestly think finding swimwear that fits properly made such a difference.

This Marie Jo bikini has beautiful quality fabric, fantastic support and a really flattering fit. Nothing dug in, nothing sagged or rode up, and it stayed exactly where it should ..... even on the waterslides! 😂

I wasn't constantly pulling it up or worrying about what was showing.

I could just wear my bikini and enjoy my holiday.

These adverts are getting me a bit annoyed they are reeling ladies in ....if you look at this bra it doesn't fit correctly that's why it's red ....there is a whole load of explanations about this bra......just go to your local lingerie boutique and get your bra fitted you will thank yourself FOREVER......if you live in the Newcastle & Northumberland area it is Petals of Hexham ...you will never ever regret a bra fitting

Granny nightie… apparently 😂💕”

I’d never actually worn a nightie before, but I spotted this pretty cotton nightie from Cottonreal and decided to give it a go and honestly, best decision! 💕

The delicate detailing is so pretty, and I love how lightweight, breathable and comfortable it feels. It’s perfect summer nightwear...I am on holiday so especially in the heat..... keeping me cool and comfortable all night. 😴✨

And most importantly… I had the best night’s sleep! 💗

So sorry, boyfriend you may think it's grannyish… I’m calling this one a WIN! 😂
