WOW WOW WOW, what an adventure!

We are all down safely from Kilimanjaro and what an expedition it’s been. Everyone made it to the roof of Africa yesterday morning at approx 06:30am with a stunning sunrise for good measure. It was one of the coldest ascents I’ve experienced but the whole group dug deep and were outstanding.
We are now back at our hotel for a hot shower and some well deserved beers.
We will post a more detailed journey along with our photos tomorrow but here is a sneak peek ☺️🗻

A huge well done to the whole group and our amazing team here in Tanzania ❤️🗻

Mount meru and Arusha national park you did not disappoint, you are a truly special place ❤️

We set out early on Friday morning and we were all blown away once we reached the park gates with a family of elephant 🐘 crossing in front of us!

Our journey took us up to our first camp (Miriakamba 2500m) where we spent the night in spectacular surroundings and wildlife.

Saturday was a trek up to our high camp (Saddle Hut 3500) where we had a full afternoon of rest before our early summit push. We even had the company of a few baboon to entertain the group.

Sunday was an early start, 3am breakfast and departing at 3:30am. It was as steady climb up to rhino point (3800m) before we headed out along the summit ridge. As dawn broke we had the most amazing sunrise (easily the best I’ve even had, anywhere) with spectacular views across to Kilimanjaro and the route ahead.
The group reached the summit of Mount Meru (4556 and Africa’s 5th highest mountain) at approx 10am and enjoyed breathtaking views across the national park and further afield.
After lots of pictures, hugs, tears and snacks we headed back down to our high camp for lunch then down again to lower camp for tea and a well deserved rest.

Monday did not disappoint as we headed to the park gates. After leaving camp we headed to a hidden gem of a waterfall before a huge group of giraffe 🦒 (approx 30) gave us the best ending to a truly unforgettable African mountain adventure.

We are all safely back at our hotel in Moshi enjoying some well earned rest and hot showers before we head out to Kilimanjaro tomorrow morning.

If you would like to join us on next years trip or would like more information please get in touch. We will be confirming next year’s dates at the end of the month 🗻😎🦒🐘

We are back in Tanzania in the start of another African adventure 🇹🇿
Yesterday was a relaxing day heading up to Materuni waterfalls before having lunch and experiencing the amazing coffee tour.

We are now waiting to head off on our first expedition trek to Mount Meru in the Arusha national park. This is my personal favorite part of the whole trip.
We will be out of signal for the next four days for friends and family but will message once back.

Let’s go 🇹🇿🌍🐘🦒🦓🐒❤️

What a few days we’ve had and another very successful summit. The whole group did amazing and we were once again spoilt with superb views and calm summit.
Out of all the times I’ve been to the top of Mount Toubkal I’ve only ever seen other people sharing the summit until yesterday. This year we had a lovely dog that made it all the way to the top to share our sandwiches with 😂🐕🐾

Honestly though it’s been a great week or so and our group have been brilliant from start to finish.
Having a well deserved rest in Imlil today before heading home tomorrow.
Bookings are now being taken for next year so please get in touch via the link below 🗻

ONLY 4 SPACES LEFT!!!

We are heading back to Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru this October for another amazing adventure in 2025. There really is no place or mountain quite like Kilimanjaro, with its breath-taking biodiverse ecosystems to the fantastic culture and local people, we really do love this place.

If you would like to join us, or would like a copy of our updated information letter, please DM us with your email address. We can only take 12 people per trip, so get in touch asap to avoid missing out.

This post includes a small selection of photos from Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro taken during our recent trip to Tanzania.
We choose to deliver our trips in October, as it avoids the most busy months on Kilimanjaro and our in-country team, who work hard to make your time when trekking as comfortable as possible, are as experienced and as good as it gets. They work seamlessly with our two highly experienced and qualified UK leaders.
Trekking Mount Meru first (a beautiful peak worthy of it's own trip!) is perfect preparation in terms of acclimatisation and conditioning. It also allows us the chance to experience African wildlife, which isn't encountered in the Kilimanjaro national park.
We met many teams struggling on Kilimanjaro as a result of not building in enough time to acclimatise. If you're looking to trek Kilimanjaro in 5 or 6 days then look elsewhere. If you'd like to prepare properly, give yourself a safer and better chance of successfully summitting the highest mountain in Africa (and enjoy your time on the mountain!) then get in touch. 🏔🌍❤️

I can’t believe it’s been a week since we got back from our Kilimanjaro expedition!
One of the many things that blew our group away was our superb team that we had on the mountain. They looked after us so well and always had a huge smile on their faces. But, it was their singing and dancing that brought smiles and a few tears of joy to our faces.
Here is our amazing team welcoming us back into camp, what a way to enter camp!!!

Our Mount Meru/Kilimanjaro 2025 information letter is now ready and we are already taking bookings for October 2025. If you would like to join us, and/or would like more information, please dm with your email address. 🏔🌍❤️

Below are just some of the amazing pictures from our Kilimanjaro expedition as we had hundreds and could not show them all.
It has been an absolute pleasure to spend the last two weeks with such an amazing group of individuals. It has also been so good to share this experience with my partner in crime Carl Halliday and my very good friend and in country guide Rayson Mawenya (my brother from another mother!)

Carl has detailed the expedition superbly below so please take a look.
This was my second summit of this amazing and unique mountain but definitely not the last.

Enquiries and bookings are now open for our 2025 expedition. So, if you fancy a true trip of a lifetime that will leave you with put of this world memories then please get in touch. Message here or at [email protected] and we will send you next years information.

Enjoy the pictures and the read and we look forward to next years adventures 🗻☺️👌
