What an amazing day at Hexham House Open Pairs 4 ball Competion today! 48 players From all over the North East and Durham!
There were some very close matches with very few points between pairs. The atmosphere was one of friendly, enjoyable competition.
The final was between Penny Little and George Little, from Allen Valley against Michael English from Dipton and Ann Baggett .
There were three interesting events besides the play where the church bells started just as I welcomed the first group on the rink to play.😂 Then a lovely event as a wedding party with Bride groom, little bridesmaid and page boy and matron of honour walked past!😊 Then a visit by our Mayor Derrick Kennedy, taking an interest in what was going on.
In the photos you’ll notice one of our youngest members to be, Ahhhhh! Little Summer only a few weeks old and so good as was her little brother.
