Back with a Bang!

First U12 game of the season done and dusted, some excellent football at play against a physical and skillful team.
Well done to the MOM

On to Kingswood next week with a 9am Kickoff at Bude Park

Spitfires showed their ability today at Esperanza tournament - keeping 3 clean sheets in the group games and then getting knocked out in the semi finals.
The only tears today were from nose bleeds and head injuries. Ever seen a boy play a game of football with an icepack?

Big thanks to Chris Hunt stepping up to take the team and the 3 boys who stepped up to share the goalkeeping duties in lieu of a poorly keeper.

One week break and back to it with Hessle Sporting tournament.

Spitfires did themselves proud at Brandesburtons tournament today, confidently playing the group stages and therefore finding themselves in the Champions League against some of the strongest group 1 teams in and around the local area... and played some of the best football we've seen for a while, with tired legs and a poorly spitfire.

Well done boys!

Hessle Sporting Club Spitfires tried a challenge against a higher age group this evening, and showed the 3 weeks without a game has not slowed them down!
The boys played some fantastic stuff in the first half, our level dropped in the second half. Well done tonight boys, we gave them a lesson in football at times.

One weekend off and the tournaments begin.

Hessle Sporting Club Spitfires tried their hand at a beach tournament today, they smashed the group stages - impressive considering they’ve never experienced beach football before.

The weather was minging but the lads never moaned once and cracked on. Highlights of the day was Will getting a goal with bullet header and the 5-0 win.

It’s one we’ll be doing again next year definitely 👍🏻

Hessle Sporting Club Spitfires welcomed North Ferriby this morning, the boys were brilliant and the score line didnt entirely reflect the game... their keeper was the stand out for them against a barage of Spitfire shots.
