Last week was the Jags first tournament of the season. We got all the way to the final & the game finished 0-0. Unfortunately we lost on penalties ⚽️ Very proud of the effort and determination they all showed 🏅 on to the next one 💪

On Tuesday night the Jaguars took on Kingswood United in a fast paced game with plenty of goals between the two sides ⚽️

🏆 Parents Player was awarded to Max. Max was on fire throughout the game, didn't stop running and made some great decisions when passing & releasing the ball ⚽️

🏆 Coaches Player was awarded to Harry. Harry worked super hard in every minute of the game. He never gave up and was great in winning the ball for the team ⚽️

Sunday saw the Jaguars take on Driffield Panthers ⚽️ Both teams battled hard with some great football.

🏆 Parents Player for the 2nd week running was Fred. Fred made some amazing saves and utilised his area well ⚽️

🏆 Coaches Player was Jordan. Jordan put in bags of effort throughout the whole game and never gave up on the ball ⚽️

This week the Jaguars faced Cherry Burton for the second time this season, this time on home soil ⚽️

The Jaguars knew this was going to be a tough match & Cherry Burton certainly didn't make it easy for them, both teams giving it their all! The Jags went 1-0 down but were committed and physical & brought it back to a draw. A late free kick gave the Jaguars the opportunity to take the lead, they took it and sealed the win ⚽️

🏆 Parents Player was Fred with some great saves today. Fred was always ready for that through ball and commanded his box brilliantly with some great distribution ⚽️

🏆Coaches Player was Amelia who was an absolute rock today, she was strong, picked out some great passes and was always in the right place at the right time ⚽️

On Sunday the Jaguars faced Cottingham Rangers with an early kick off away from home.

Some good attacking play and through balls saw the Jaguars take the lead but Cottigham came back fighting and equalised. The Jaguars battled hard and defended well and the game finished with a draw.

🏆 Parents Player went to Oliver, he worked really hard throughout, he played some lovely through balls and was physical winning the ball.

🏆 Coaches Player went to Isaac, he worked super hard up and down the left hand side, covering every blade! He pressed hard, reacted well and assisted the goal.

Today saw the Jags take on Witherensea away. Having played this team before, we knew it wouldn't be easy. Both teams started strong and fought until the final whistl, with the Jags taking the victory ⭐️⚽️

🏆 Parents Player today went to Ronnie. Ronnie was solid as a rock at the back for the team today, he worked hard and chased every ball - stopping Witherensea from getting that last minute equaliser 💪

🏆 Coaches Player went to Lucas. Lucas did everything right today, made some fantastic tackles, assisted a goal and worked hard every second on the pitch 💪

We all know it's not an easy job being the coaches son but you both did the team and your parents proud...well done boys 💙⚽️

The Jaguars were back in action today after a few weeks off due to the weather. They faced Bridlington Rangers Jets in a league match ⚽️

Having played Bridlington before, the game could have gone either way! The Jaguars started out strong and kept it up throught the match, holding on to their undefeated record ⚽️

🏆 Coaches Player today went to Amelia. Amelia scored an amazing goal from the half way line...in true Amelia style, she was strong, calm and defended well .

🏆 Parents Player was awarded to Cohen. Cohen worked at super speed today, beating the oppositions defence to the ball every time, he worked hard and bagged himself a couple of goals.

Safe to say...everyone put in maximum effort and enjoyed getting back to it ⚽️

The Jags were back in action today with an early start against Hull Saints (after a few cancelled games due to the weather) and they did not disappoint ⚽️

It was goals galore today with a total of 16 goals scored between the teams, great football, end to end with both teams eager for the win. The Jags managed to hold on to their 2 goal lead until the final whistle blew

🏆Parents Player was Bobby. Super strong at the back & an excellent work rate throughout 💪⚽️

🏆Coaches Player was Harry. Harry also worked his socks of today and bagged himself multiple assists, fantastic team player 💪⚽️

Also, huge shout out to the Ref today he was only young but did a great job and was great with the players

Today's game was a Cup Match match against Hull Saints ⚽️

The Jaguars were 2 goals down with 10 minutes to go but managed to bring it back to a draw which took us to penalties. Unfortunately, it wasn't our day & the Cup dreams are over.

🏆 Parents Player was Max who was so full of energy & battled so hard in the midfield, he chased every ball, did some amazing tackles and tried to create opportunities.

🏆 Coach's Player today went to Fred (for the second week in a row 💪). Fred was alert & covered his area brilliantly throughout the game. The pressure on the goalie in these situations is massive but Fred kept his head and put in every effort.

Well done boys, your team are proud of you both ⚽️ Hessle Sporting Jaguars
