◼️ Meet Sensei Taylar Killworth our new Online Academy instructor for the UK.

◼️ Sensei Taylar has been training in karate since the age of 7 with her Dad and sister and is currently a 4th Dan black belt.

◼️ Sensei Taylar has won multiple tournaments including winning the Female Open Kumite events in the UK Nationals and placed 2nd and 3rd in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup Tournaments.

◼️ Sensei Taylar has a passion for helping students improve both in and out of the dojo and has been teaching classes for the last 10 years. She is looking forward to working with you all through the online dojo.

The countdown is on! Will you be joining us this August for GKR Karate’s Okinawa Experience 2025?

Join GKR students from around the world for 3 full days of karate training inside Okinawa’s prestigious martial arts center, The Okinawa Karate Kaikan. 18 hours of karate tuition under Kancho Robert Sullivan, GKR’s senior-most instructors and a number of Okinawa Karate masters.

We will also have 2 days for sightseeing, get togethers which are an opportunity to explore the culture of the birthplace of karate.

Congratulations to everyone who graded on Sunday! Great to see so many back from the Christmas break smashing their goals so early in the year! For those hoping to grade in the next few months, remember, we have a few Seminars and Tournaments coming up to help boost your training and improve your Karate. You especially don't want to miss the Kata Seminar with Sensei Liam on February 18th!

This Self-Defence Seminar is going to show you how to apply your Karate techniques and principles in a more practical scenario. Whether you've been training a few weeks, a few months or a few years, you'll be able to see what Karate can do outside a Dojo.

Sensei Liam is running another Kata Seminar on 18th February, this one focusing on Kata Empi. Similar to his previous Seminars, even if you don't yet know the kata, you'll be able to learn the moves and their applications, including the iconic Empi jump! You won't want to miss this!
