Thank you to everyone who has signed up for this half term 💙 We’ve been having such fun with our seaside dance theme, and both groups have been absolutely amazing!
I’ve been running Disco Ducks classes since 2017, and it has honestly been such a joy. Over the past 9 years though, I’ve seen the landscape of toddler and preschool classes change so much — firstly after Covid, and now again with the increase in funded hours for younger children (which is a wonderful thing, by the way!).
What has this meant for me? I’ve gone from having long waiting lists, to reducing from three classes to two, and more recently seeing a decline in numbers in Hertford.
I truly believe Disco Ducks is still the most fun dance class around 🐥💃 and the children get so excited to come each week, but sadly there is much less demand now — and I know many other class providers are feeling the same.
For this reason, unless numbers dramatically increase, next half term in Hertford will be my last 😭
The good news is I’ll still be running classes in Watton-at-Stone on Thursdays, which is only a short drive from Hertford — plus there’s a delicious bakery opposite for coffee, catch-ups and cake afterwards ☕🍰
