Trout fishery open to all every day of the year The fishery is open to the general public all year round and pre-booking is not required.

Brick Farm Lakes is one of the leading trout fisheries in the country and is 24th in Trout Fisherman's Top 100 Stillwater’s in the British Isles. Our charming oak frame timber lodge set next to Brick Lake provide self-serve tea and coffee making facilities, warm and dry shelter and clean toilets. Brick Farm Lakes is located in open countryside near Herstmonceux in East Sussex. We have four lakes,

all very well stocked regularly with rainbow, blue and brown trout. We regularly stock trout ranging from 2lb to over 10lb. There is a road to all lakes and the lodge with parking next to Brick Lake and Well Lake. We are open daily from 7.30am until sunset (or 2hrs before sunset if all anglers have packed up and gone) seven days a week. If you would like to visit us for an evening fishing session then please give us a call so we know to expect evening anglers - we are always happy to stay open until sunset. We are very keen to encourage juniors into the sport. In support of this we allow juniors (16 and under) to fish on their guardians ticket. In particular this allows parents to avoid the unnecessary expense of multiple tickets and encourages juniors who may struggle to catch their fish until more proficient. Rod hire is available as well a a small selection of items frequently lost or forgotten such as leader, flies, priests. We look forwards to meeting you soon. Phil, Danni, Graham & Linda

Mark Dawber came in yesterday and had some nice fish with the biggest coming in at 4.5 pounds 👏 🎣
We’ve had another really healthy delivery arrive this week, including some lovely brownies and some blues too 👌

Over the last week fishermen have been enjoying the weather and some great fishing.
Neil caught a nice 4lb’er whilst working hard for the next hour to try and catch a big brownie that had risen towards his fly twice, alas to no avail, it's still in there for next time. Adam came in just learning, and doing really well he was rewarded with a nice 3lb 10oz rainbow, then Ian popped in and had 4 fish on green Buzzers with a faster retrieve - the biggest of which was 4lb 4oz, then he chilled out with a nice cold non alcoholic beer 🍺👌🎣☀️

Tunbridge Wells Fly Fishers visited us today, fishing in some testing conditions. They had a good day and were pleased with their bags, including a 4lb’er from Martyn Gray and a 3lb 12oz from Mick Priest.
Chris Ball also caught a 4lb and a 3lb’er. Great day had by all

Dave Kneller visited us yesterday and went away with 3 fine rainbows, with the biggest coming in at 3.4 lbs all on green and white cats whisker.
Cai Ap Bryn also fished with us and was very pleased with this 4+lb rainbow

Dave Harris has been in and had a lesson from Rob in buzzer fishing and caught 2 lovely rainbows.
Very happy chappy, will be returning again soon to try new techniques

Ray Marlow came in today on a 2 fish ticket and has left a very happy man with a nice 2lb 8oz rainbow and an even nicer 3lb 8oz rainbow 👌🎣

🎣 🏆🐣 It’s that time of year again - our annual Easter Competition will be held on Saturday 4th April 2026.
This competition is always really fun and friendly - it’s a nice sociable day and has been a great introduction to competition fishing for some, whilst still exciting for regular competitors.

Ian was in yesterday and caught these 4 lovely rainbows on a green damsel, with a couple of good 3 pounders 👌🎣

Paul Farmer had an excellent day with these 4 rainbows all from Well Lake. Best weight 3lb 7oz and a total bag of 10lb 8oz. Well done Paul, see you again soon 👍🎣
