Every great journey has a beginning. At Herne Bay Taekwondo, it started with a simple mission: to help our community grow in confidence, discipline, and respect through the art of Taekwondo. From our first class to today, we've welcomed students of all ages and abilities, building a supportive family bonded by shared goals and mutual encouragement. While our dojang has evolved, our core values remain unchanged—quality training, personal growth, and a passion for martial arts. Thank you to everyone who's been part of our story so far. Here's to many more years of kicking higher, standing taller, and growing stronger together.

🥋 “I WANT TO FIGHT LIKE THEY DO IN THE MOVIES!”

That’s how many kids start Taekwondo.

They come for the kicks, the punches, the jumping techniques and the excitement.

They stay because it’s FUN! ❤️

But then… it gets harder.

The patterns get longer. The techniques become more challenging. They make mistakes. They lose competitions. Sometimes they get frustrated.

And that’s where the real magic happens.

They learn that they don’t have to be perfect.

They learn to keep trying.

They learn that losing doesn’t mean failing.

They learn patience, confidence, discipline and resilience.

Because Taekwondo isn’t just teaching children how to kick and punch…

It’s teaching them how to keep going when something gets difficult. 💪🥋

And those are lessons they can take into school, friendships and everyday life.

❤️ Let them start for the fun. Watch them grow through the challenge.
