Our U13s kicked off their season today with three competitive matches at Bay Sports Arena:

🔵 HBU 2-8 Farnham
🟡 HBU 8-7 Maidstone
🔵 HBU 6-12 Farnham

With three players taking part in their first competitive matches, we were so impressed with the standard of play from this young team. There was some great attacking hockey, good tracking back and plenty of determination across all three games.

They all did brilliantly. A really promising start to the season! 💙💛

If your child loves skating and wants to try a fast, fun team sport, bring them along. No hockey experience needed, but basic skating skills required - and we can loan all the equipment.

What a week for HBU. 💙💛💙💛

We’re incredibly proud to have had two HBU members representing England at the U17 European Championships in Braga, Portugal. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Karl Smith led the England team as Head Coach, while Ethan Smith represented England as part of the playing team.

It was a tough tournament against some of Europe’s strongest teams, and Karl and Ethan were part of an England side that battled hard throughout and gained invaluable international experience.

From countless training sessions at HBU to representing their country, it’s fantastic to see the commitment and hard work they’ve shown over the years recognised at this level.

Congratulations to Karl, Ethan and the whole England team. We know everyone at HBU has enjoyed following your journey, and we’re all incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved.

Huge congratulations to our incredible skaters who traveled to Haywards Heath on July 4th & 5th for the EAST Open Competition 2026! 🛼✨

It was an absolute whirlwind of a weekend, and your hard work, dedication, and team spirit completely paid off. We are thrilled to announce that Herne Bay United locked in a fantastic 3rd Place finish for the EAST Cup with an incredible 1,012 points! This is a phenomenal achievement, and we couldn't be prouder of how everyone performed! 🏆🥉
