Ricky was on Barston lake for the Vardis Cup last weekend and boy what a match . Landing a carp in under 5 minutes of rods in it just turned into carnage. Fishing just 1 rod from Friday afternoon till Saturday afternoon with the rod going off in his hand. No sleep Friday as the rod just kept going and by 3pm Saturday everyone reeled in for a BBQ and a mid match total Ricky was pushing 700lb.
Ricky said he had to get a few hours sleep Saturday night as he did know where he was at one point😵‍💫😵‍💫.
Rods back out and the carnage started within minutes and by the time the end was called Ricky had landed 1012 lb of carp with nothing under 7lb counting to the total. TAKE THE WIN.
Alphabets squid and orange micro pellets and 12mm pink wafters in solid bags done the job.
