Summer ending doesn't mean the swimming has to! 🌊

Want to make your next summer holiday as stress-free as can be? Then let's keep the kids in the pool to continue learning water safety, developing a love for swimming, and having fun!

The best thing about swimming, though, is it's for everyone. 💦

Kids and grownups alike can enjoy a lively splash or refreshing dip. If you're usually a gym person, why not give the pool a go?

You can either enjoy swimming on a pay-as-u-go basis, or as part of your membership. Plus, kids enrolled in lessons at Halo get to enjoy swimming sessions for FREE! ⭐

Our next cohort at Hereford Leisure Centre kicks off soon. We are incredibly grateful to the Herefordshire Community Foundation for their support, which helps us bring this vital programme to those in our local community living with life-limiting medical conditions.

Mark your calendars for our 4-session course:
🗓️ 21st, 28th September, 5th & 12th October.

This programme offers 90 minutes of connection followed by 30 minutes of movement that is completely tailored to you. Come for the expert advice and stay for the friendly community. 🤝💙

Meet JJ, your Swim Lead at Hereford Leisure Pool! 👋

Setting up a regular swimming routine after school gives kids a fantastic way to burn off energy, regulate their nervous systems, and connect with new friends outside the classroom. JJ and the team are dedicated to making every step into the pool a positive one!

Get to know JJ:
🏊 Experience: Teaching since 2017, Swim Lead since 2023
🍫 Ultimate post-swim snack: Peanut Butter Snickers
🥽 Favourite pool memory: Getting to put flippers on during lessons!
🏈 Fun fact: Plays Quarterback for the Hereford Stampede - American Football Club!

JJ’s secret for helping nervous swimmers? Clear expectations, a buddy system, and plenty of gentle encouragement: "I always explain the lesson plan, so they know what to expect, and buddy them up with a confident friend. A quick game of bunny hops works wonders, and if they’re still tearful, a quick side-hug while walking across the pool does the trick."

We’re making a few quick adjustments to our pool timetable today to keep our main pool fully open for you to enjoy! 💦

• Leisure Pool: The public swim session between 2:00pm – 3:00pm will not be running today so we can focus on keeping the main pool fully open for the rest of the day. 🌊

• Teaching Pool: The teaching pool will be closed all day today. 🏊‍♀️

Tots Fun Swim Timetable Update for Monday 7th September at Hereford Leisure Pool🏊‍♂️✨

We’re making a quick tweak to our schedule this coming Monday, 7th September! 🗓️

Our 11:00am – 11:50am session won't be running, but don't worry—you can still splash around with us at our 1:00pm – 1:50pm session instead! 💦 We’d love to see you and your little ones there! 👶💛

Both usual sessions will be back as normal from the following week. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you for an afternoon dip! 🐸🎈

If you’ve asked yourself this question while living with a life-limiting medical condition, our Health Horizons course at Hereford Leisure Centre is here to help.

Starting on the 21st September, this 4-week programme is made possible by the Herefordshire Community Foundation. We dive into the topics that matter most, including managing fatigue, mindfulness, and gentle physical activity that works for your body.

The best part? This programme is FREE for Halo Members
or just £3.50 per session for Non-Members.
