What a weekend of archery 🏹

Watch out Robin Hood there are three people after your title of master archer.

First of all Nathan topped our Male Archery Score of the Year with 261 points. Aptly nicknamed the Olympian.

Secondly, we have Michelle who topped our female highest score of the year with 234 points. Brilliant from start to finish.

Thirdly, it’s Mark (the Marksman) who had the Male score of the year for 48 hours until he was pipped by Nathan. This is the second year running that he had the number one spot before someone immediately scored higher.

You all better watch your backs as we have a number of our previous year winners booked in and ready to take back what is rightfully theirs. Let the battle commence.

Fantastic day at the Vintage and Country Fair Gwatkins today.
Thanks to everyone who visited and had a go at Axe Throwing 🪓
We had some truly amazing throwing 👏
Huge congratulations to 15 year old Morgan, 10 out of 10 of the axes in the board, one bullseye 🎯 and an awesome 39 points, earning himself top scorer of the day!
Special mention also goes to Alice and George who both got 2 bullseyes 🎯 each!

We had a fantastic meal today at The Riverside at Aymestrey in Herefordshire. There were four of us dining and everything from the food to the service was exceptional.

The setting is absolutely beautiful and made for such a relaxing afternoon. The staff were lovely throughout — welcoming, attentive, and friendly without ever being overbearing.

The food was outstanding. I had the seabass, my wife and mother-in-law both had the chicken, and my father-in-law chose the venison. Every dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented.

We were also celebrating my wife’s birthday and the team surprised her with a brownie cake with fudge on the side, which was a really thoughtful touch and made the meal feel even more special.

A brilliant experience all round and somewhere we would happily return to. Highly recommended.

A huge shoutout to Ines, who achieved our highest archery score of the year: 222!

Even more impressive? It was her very first time ever doing archery — and she absolutely smashed it as part of a hen party celebration. 🎯💍

Natural talent, calm focus, and seriously sharp hand–eye coordination made for an unforgettable performance. Looks like we might have discovered a hidden archer in the making! ✨

Well done, Ines — that’s a score to remember! 👏

🎯 The Archer – “I’ve done this before” (hasn’t), then suddenly becomes an expert after one lucky bullseye
💥 The Paintball Tactician – turns a friendly team activity into a full-on military operation, shouting “MOVE UP!” like it’s D-Day
🪓 Dave from Sales – somehow always “wins”, despite a very creative interpretation of the rules
🧠 HR – insists it’s “wellbeing and resilience training” while quietly becoming suspiciously brilliant at axe throwing
🧍 The Quiet One – says they’re just here for a laugh… ends up topping the leaderboard

We’re excited to announce an Expression of Interest for Under 16 players to be part of a programme delivered in partnership with the Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).

Players born between September 2010 & August 2012
Training & Saturday Matches

The programme aims to support player development alongside club football, providing access to enhanced coaching, player support, and a clear pathway within the female game.
