This Saturday marks the last game of the 2026 season for both our 1st XI and 2nd XI, and we’d love to see a huge turnout from players, families, juniors and supporters.

🏏 Hensall CC - First XI

Huge win for the lads today — disciplined, ruthless, and totally in control.
Hensall rolled Tadcaster Magnet for 97 all out, then chased it down with calm authority to finish 99/3.
A proper statement performance.
🔥 Bowling Dominance
Billy Kirton – 6 for 7 (5.4 overs) Unplayable. A match‑winning spell that ripped through the innings.
Dom Watson – 4 for 40 (12 overs) Relentless pressure, long spell, big wickets at key moments.
💥 Batting Control
Chris Thornton – 56 (not out)* Anchored the chase beautifully — calm, classy, and in complete control.

🏏 Hensall CC vs Saxton – Hensall win by 9 wickets — total control from start to finish.
Bowling first, Hensall squeezed Saxton to 182/9 in 45 overs with disciplined, intelligent pressure across the attack. Matthew Daniel and Billy Kirton were the standouts, each taking 3 wickets, applying sustained pressure and breaking key partnerships throughout the innings.
In the chase, Hensall were dominant. Chris Thornton smashed 79 off 88 balls with 13 boundaries, completely dictating the innings. Dominic Watson added a composed, valuable contribution with the bat, (90 from 94 balls) helping maintain control and momentum as Hensall cruised to 183/1 in 30.5 overs.

What a brilliant night at Hensall Cricket Club — huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported our live music evening.

Fantastic to see members, junior players, past players, and so many from the Hensall village community all together. Proper club atmosphere all night.

A massive shout‑out to the wonderfully talented Ryan Mosleh, who took us through some absolute classics from the last four decades. Top performance and top bloke.

🏏 DERBY DAY BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR HENSALL!
Hensall CC took the honours in the long‑standing River Aire derby, beating Carlton Towers in style with an 8‑wicket win.

Our bowlers were 🔥 from the first over:

Billy Kirton – unstoppable, taking 4 key wickets
Dom Watson – matched him with 4 of his own
Matty Daniel – ice‑cold control, 8 overs, 4 maidens, 2 wickets

Carlton were bowled out for 93, and Hensall chased it down calmly in 16 overs, losing just two wickets. Total professionalism from the top order.

A huge performance in a historic local derby between two clubs on opposite sides of the River Aire — and this year, the river runs blue and gold.

🎸 FREE LIVE MUSIC EVENT – SATURDAY 15 AUGUST!
We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan Mosleh to Hensall Cricket Club for an evening of brilliant live music on the outfield.

🌟 Free and open to everyone – we’d love to see as many of our junior and senior members, families, and the local community as possible.
🍔 Burgers and hotdogs will be available to purchase, and the bar opens from 1 PM with music starting around 7.30 PM.

This is also our annual celebration for our sponsors, so let’s make it a fantastic night of music, food, and club spirit.

🪑 Bring a chair or picnic blanket if you wish – it’s all happening out on the outfield under the summer sky.

🏏 Hensall CC vs Burn CC
Hensall win by 7 wickets — and it was every bit as convincing as the scoreline suggests.
Burn scraped to 150 all out after a relentless Hensall bowling display, with standout spells from B Kirton (3–31) and M Daniel (3–24) . The pressure never eased, the lines were tight, and Burn never looked comfortable.
Chasing 151, Hensall were ice‑cold. The top order controlled the tempo beautifully, cruising to 151/3 in just 30.3 overs . Smart batting, no panic, no fuss — exactly how a confident side finishes the job.

Hensall CC won by 33 runs — a brilliant, controlled performance front to back.
Batting first, the lads piled on a superb 237/5 in 40 overs, showing real intent and discipline at the crease. Then the bowlers took over, applying pressure all afternoon to dismiss Burn for 204 all out in 38.5 overs.
