She was a powerhouse.
A force of nature. A fierce, trustworthy, honest and lovingly kind beautiful human.
I am heart broken to inform you all,
that Leigh Mytton has very sadly passed away in February this year, just before her 52nd birthday.

She was an outstanding coach at HNC, who shared two very precious years of her life with us all from March 2022 to March 2024. Sharing her vast knowledge, skills and huge love for the sport.

Her cancer battle was silent but she wasn’t! She was so much fun to be around - she could always link a story to yours or tell you a tale from her many adventures.
Nothing was ever too much of an ask. She always went above and beyond to help everyone and anyone who needed it.
Whilst her life was too short, she lived it to the max.

You are going to be so missed Leigh but we’ll carry your netball coaching, huge love of the sport, fun and tenacity with us for years!

Who will take the post as Head Coach next ?!! 🤩

A Vitality Roses update 📰

England Netball can confirm that Jess Thirlby has stepped down from her role as Vitality Roses Head Coach. We respect and support Jess’ decision and thank her for her leadership during her six-and-a-half-year tenure.

Current Assistant Coach Anna Stembridge will step into the Head Coach role with Olivia Murphy (Assistant Coach), Sharni Layton (Specialist Coach) and Jo Harten (Specialist Coach) completing the coaching team for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
