Leander Club sent two men’s crews to Poplar Regatta and enjoyed a brilliant day of racing against top‑tier domestic opposition in heavy weather.

The Men’s Open 4– of Isaac Dean, Callum Jenkins, Tom Ballinger and Bob Bryden delivered a standout performance, winning both their heat and the final. Confident boat speed and sharp handling in tricky conditions secured them the top spot.

The Men’s Open 8+ of Erin Kennedy, Levin Graf, Myles McQuillan, Jono Cameron, Ben Newton, Alex Abuhoff, Ben Brockway, George Reed and James Purves‑Lidelle also impressed, winning their heat to reach the final. They battled increasingly challenging winds to finish third overall.

A strong day of racing and valuable experience gained for the squad. 💪🚣‍♂️

We're soft launching with a reduced menu this weekend, as we welcome visitors to Henley Arts Trail.
