We had a great visit from Simone at Allen & Page Horse Feeds today for our 6 monthly weigh in and are pleased to report that nearly all the ponies had lost weight some up to 30kg! Nearly everyone was happy to stand on the weigh bridge Elsie even went to sleep whereas Ebony needed to make sure it was safe before she settled on it! We started feeding Veteran Light back in February and are so pleased with the way the ponies look on it. They have beautiful shiny coats and are very happy to lick the bowls clean at feed time. We have always struggled with the ponies weights particularly in summer time with our lush grass so it’s great to see some progress and to know that the track system along with a lower calorie feed is starting to work and we are seeing some results. Unfortunately one pony, Ebony, has been letting the side down recently escaping into the long grass and stuffing her face but even she hasn’t put on as much as we had expected which is great to see but definitely still needs to be trekking up our hills when out hacking to burn some calories off!
