The new season is just around the corner, and the hard work starts now!

Join us this Monday 8th June at 7:00pm at our home pitch as we begin preparations for what promises to be an exciting 2026/27 campaign.

Whether you're a familiar face returning for another season or someone looking for a new challenge, we'd love to see you there. Training is open to both current and prospective players as we continue building a squad capable of pushing the club forward.

2025/26 TOP GOAL SCORER 🏆⚽️

When Kian Batt flirted with the move to Maesycwmmer FC last season, it just wasn’t the right time as he decided to stay and compete at a higher level.

Fast forward to this season and Kian finally put pen to paper to become a Ⓜ️Ⓜ️ — and what a signing he’s turned out to be. 👏

From the very first preseason session, Kian showed exactly what he was about. His quality, movement and eye for goal instantly gave us something extra going forward and his performances throughout the season have helped drive the team on massively.

A player who always gave defenders problems and someone who stepped up when it mattered most, Kian finishes the 2025/26 season as our Top Goal Scorer with an impressive:

Arguably the award every player wants to win the most… because this one is voted for by the people you go into battle with every single week. Your teammates. The lads beside you through rain, snow or shine. 👏⚽️

This season’s Players’ Player of the Year goes to — Kian Rees. 🔥

A player who is constantly present, constantly reliable and constantly at the heart of everything Maesycwmmer FC does both on and off the pitch.

This season Kian has stepped up and truly taken on the role of a leader within the squad. Whether playing in a back three or a back two, he made sure every single player around him felt his presence, determination and desire to win. 💪

Performance after performance, Kian showed exactly why he is so important to this team. It became very clear that if we were ever without him, replacing his attitude, commitment and will to battle for the badge would be nearly impossible.

2025/26 PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🏆💙

This season’s Player of the Year award goes to our club captain — Luke Kestell. 👏⚽️

Last season Luke operated mainly as a left back, but when the gaffer asked him to step into a completely different role this year as a defensive midfielder to help protect the back line, he didn’t hesitate for a second ( ok, after a few giggles and funny looks)

From the very first game, Luke made that role his own and became a huge presence right at the heart of the team. 💪

But as the season went on, it wasn’t just the consistent performances that stood out — because truthfully, Luke never dropped below a 7/10 all season. It was everything else he brought to the side that really showed his importance to Maesycwmmer FC.

Week after week, our captain delivered true general-like performances. His desire, determination and never give up attitude became the standard for the whole team.

Whether it was winning battles, covering every blade of grass or stepping in to protect his teammates, Luke gave everyone around him the confidence and assurance to play their game knowing he was always there behind them. 🔥

Towards the end of the season he was sweeping up Man of the Match performances for fun and fully led this club as a true leader both on and off the pitch.

A thoroughly deserved Player of the Year award for our skipper. Massive congratulations Luke! 👏🏆

2025/26 CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR 💙🏆

Some awards are given for performances on the pitch… but this one is about everything that happens behind the scenes to keep a football club alive and moving forward.

This year’s Clubman of the Year goes to a man who has stood out to Maesycwmmer FC from the very first day he walked through the door — Craig Davies. 👏

Throughout the highs and the disappointments, Craig has always been there. A person who goes above and beyond for the players, coaches, committee and supporters time and time again.

It’s no exaggeration to say that several games this season simply would not have gone ahead without all the hard work Craig has put in behind the scenes. 💪

And above all else — the gaffer’s right hand man. 👏⚽️

Craig has well and truly cemented himself into the legends book of Maesycwmmer FC and the impact he has had on the club this season cannot be measured.

🗣️ “Craig is 100% someone who wouldn’t want this award, but all the players, coaches, committee and supporters couldn’t think of a better recipient. As the manager, I would be lost without him and I’m very thankful he is part of our club.”

2025/26 SURPRISE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🎉🏆

This year’s Surprise Player of the Year goes to none other than Jake Kendall! 👏💙🤍

When Jake arrived during preseason, it’s fair to say nobody quite knew what to expect. Coming into senior football for the very first time and with more of a love for rugby at the time, there was always going to be a learning curve.

But as the season rolled on, Jake made the left back position his own and never looked back. 💪⚽️

Not only did he fight off some serious competition for his place, but his tireless performances, determination and physical strength became a huge part of the team throughout the season. Week after week he continued to improve, always wanting to learn more and develop his game even further.

And while his football improved massively… the gaffer probably wishes he’d stop ringing every week for advice now — might be time to change the number gaffer 😂📞

A brilliant first season in senior football and a very well deserved award for Jake. Massive congratulations mate! 👏🔥

2025/26 STANDOUT PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🌟🏆

This season’s Standout Player of the Year goes to Reiss Lamorte after an incredible campaign in a Ⓜ️Ⓜ️ shirt. 👏

The season may have started slowly for Reiss and on a number of occasions he found himself starting from the bench — but football is all about taking your chance when the opportunity comes… and Reiss absolutely grabbed his with both hands. 💙🤍

No matter where he was asked to play, Reiss delivered. His energy, quality and impact on games became impossible to ignore as the season went on and he quickly became a huge part of the team’s success.
